On our recent visit to Pocahontas County my family stopped by Mountain State Cakes. I am so glad we did! The smell of fresh baked bread and sweets met us at the door along with the biggest smile! Each case had something that looked better than the last. We got a little bit of everything, cookies, a cake, bread, doggie treats and amazing pizza rolls! Everything was amazing! It truly is a must if you are in the area!
I stopped in today and bought sticky buns. The best ever!!
Been by this little building probably 50 times over the years and never really noticed it. There's not a lot in the area, so when I saw they were a bakery we stopped in for some treats.
The white chocolate macadamia cookies were chronic. The mini cake was good.
I will say the Pepperoni roll with marinara is the best pepp roll I've had in a long long time. I initially judged the lack of grease dripping out as a sign of a poor roll, with a lack if fillings like Chico...read full review
