Sakura Japanese Steak House

Not the good experience... we ordered vegetable hibachi, which had 90% zucchini with a bit of carrots and mushrooms. Zucchini was bitter, and the sauce was watery with no taste. We left 70%of the food and server didn't show any concern. Not recommended!

The place is swarming of gnats they will be in your drinks on your food in your face everywhere. Was surprised to see so many of them that I had to leave.

Drove an hour to get here only to find they closed more than 30 minutes earlier than their listed closing time. Not okay in any way, shape, or form. I'll very heavily consider ever making the trip for this restaurant again.

Always hot fresh food and friendly service ...My niece loves the sushi. ..so we often go at least 1x per week...

Summary: Overpriced and disappointing.I don't know if it's part of the Sakura chain, but it's one of the grossest facilities I've been to. Food wasn't bad but wasn't even mediocre. Stale seaweed wraps on the sushi, fried rice taste like I made it (which isn't bad just not the quality found in a restaurant), undercooked tempura vegetables, and overcooked flavorless chicken in the teriyaki bento (sauce was added after cooking). If this is what passes for nearly five stars in Elkins, I think I'll stay home. I truly feel sorry for the people who left re iews saying how great the place was, such low standards.Positives: Some of the food was pleasant even if off. Waitress was nice and attentive.

First let me say I only ever leave a review if the restaurant was amazing or if it was aweful. The food tasted ok (definitely have had better tasting food from different Sakuras, BUT there were flies all around the restaurant (we had to move from our original table because of it), we were literally holding our fork with one hand and swatting away flies from our food and drinks with the other, and my wife couldn’t finish her meal because several flies land on her food. We told the server and she said “Ohhhh…would you like a to go box”, I then asked for the manager and she took my wife’s meal off the ticket. We will never come back here and do NOT recommend eating here. One of the flies I had to exterminate in the picture I’ve attached.

We stopped in after reading the reviews. It was not busy since it's a Monday night and we were greeted immediately. Everything came out quick and really fresh tasting. The tempura was light and crisp and everything was cooked well. We also had a pink lady roll, but we ate that up before I remembered to take a picture! This was a great find.

Had the beef yaki soba noodles. They were very good. Their wontons are the best in the area. The tempura veggies are really good light and crispy. The food is always great here.
