Food is not consistent enough to repeat return. Not the Aquaruim of the past and I mean 1990's. Too many change of hands.

We decided to try Aquarium Lounge for our anniversary dinner. It is listed as fine dining and used to have a great reputation. However we were very disappointed in almost every aspect. First my husband ordered a ribeye medium well. They brought him out a steak that looked like a roast and was still cold in the center. He said it was so chewy and the worst steak he's ever had. I ordered the shrimp scampi. My dish tasted like straight lemon. There was no garlic at all and the lemon was so strong I couldn't finish it. As for the salads they were drenched in dressing. The lettuce looked wet because there was so much dressing. We also ordered tips and Bleu which looked like meatballs in gravy when they first came out. The flavor wasn't terrible but the quality of steak was low, especially for the price. Everything was so over priced to begin with, but then to have bad food was awful. I do not recommend. If you're looking for a good steak and fine dining, do yourself a favor and head to The Wonder Bar instead.

Over priced, under cooked, under seasoned. Waitress was nice.
Nice little place. I have lived in Fairmont for around 15 years, and had never been here before. The food was good, and service were good, the atmosphere was strange. No one to greet you at the door, and you walk directly into the dining room. So we kind of stood there for a minute. Then we're asked by several people if we had reservations. We did not. Besides that I can't say anything bad. I had the blackened salmon pasta and it was delicious. Salad was great too. All the plates seemed too small though. Overall would recommend.

Service fantastic, ate in quiet dining room. The grilled wild caught salmon dinner amazing, crispy but moist.
We sat at the bar and had apps and cocktails/beer. We recommend the stuffed peppers. Lively crowd with lots of regulars. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Thanks, Quent! We'll be back. Note: The entrance below thelarge "Aquarium" sign isn't the one to go in. Go around the corner.
Parking: There seemed to be people parking in the veterinarian office parking lot across the street. We parked on the street, which was free, and there were still plenty of spots. It's in a somewhat residential area and the parking isn't too hard to find.

Visited at the beginning of March. Not kid friendly although they do have high chairs. We were hoping for aquariums but nothing, it's actually a very small space and kind of awkward when you walk in, at least it was for us since we walked in holding our 10 month old with no reservations to find ourselves in front of a very nice birthday dinner right by the entrance. Our server Amanda was very nice and attentive. I wish I could say it was the greatest meal I've ever had but it really wasn't. My favorite part of it all was the scalloped potatoes we got for our baby and the Bonanza wine which was excellent. Stuffed peppers were a good appetizer I recommend. My husband got the chicken Parm and I got the crab "stuffed" fillet. I say "stuffed" because it was not, they should call it fillet with a few pieces of crab on top and the worst part was that it was topped with a sauce made with blue cheese. They should really tell you this because I don't like blue cheese so that completely ruined it for me. The filet was a good cut but I honestly wouldn't pay what I did for it. I ended up paying $69 for a tiny crab topped fillet drenched with blue cheese and of course, I was up charged for getting French onion soup as my side so my meal alone was $85 including my glass of wine- not worth it. My husband cut me some slack since it was my first time ordering something without the price on it but since the ribeye was $40 I had no idea a smaller piece of meat would be that much more but I was wrong. I really wish I could have enjoyed it more but in my opinion blue cheese is very over powering and that's all I taste if it's in anything. I don't think blue cheese is the most popular thing so not sure why they wouldn't tell you considering how good the service is. It is not a place I would go back to, I can literally go anywhere else and get a good fillet with wine and potatoes and not pay almost $100 per person. We live in Colorado now and those prices are something I expect here but not over there, if they are trying to blame the crab it was not even an oz of crab on top so I don't know what holy cows they are getting this meat from but it's not right in my opinion. Regardless, we wanted to try this place and we did and now have something we laugh about and learned my lesson about ordering things without a price on it.
Parking: Parked across the street since the animal hospital was closed at that time.
Kid-friendliness: High chairs.

Not a single aquarium in sight. Place is built like a maze. Good pepper though.
