Road trip stopped in for a very clean facility and some fries. Staff was very friendly and the business was easy to get to off the highway.

Atmosphere – ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
This is a modern McDonald’s with a clean, updated design. The dining room is a decent size with plenty of seating options, and the refreshment area was tidy. The restroom was also clean, which is always appreciated. Overall, the atmosphere is inviting and well-kept.

Service – ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)
It took a few minutes before anyone came to the counter, likely because most customers use the kiosks. I prefer to order in person so I can see how the staff handles requests. When I ordered my usual bacon, egg, and cheese McMuffin (with a folded egg instead of the round egg), the cashier initially told me it couldn’t be done. I offered to pay extra, but he still seemed unsure how to enter it in the register. Rather than asking for help, there was some back-and-forth before he figured it out. There was also a minor issue with my code for a free iced caramel coffee, which took some tinkering before it worked. Once the order was placed, the food came out fairly quickly.

Food – ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)
The sandwich was okay, but the English muffin was slightly burnt and the bacon wasn’t as crispy as I like. It was edible, but not great. The iced caramel coffee, however, was tasty and made just right.

Overall:
This location has potential to be better. Staff should be better trained on handling simple custom requests—especially when it’s just substituting one ingredient for another. Even if there’s an upcharge, customers shouldn’t be told something “can’t be done” when it’s a basic sandwich modification. With more attentive service and consistent food prep, this could easily be a four-star McDonald’s.

It’s McDonald’s. I get it. You’re not getting a gourmet experience. But, just drive across town to west side McDonald’s. East side is the worst in Fairmont. Wait 15 to 20 minutes in the drive through just for them to dump your fries upside down in the bag. I’ve worked at McDonald’s. It’s not rocket science.

Staff are friendly and quick too serve. Food order is always hot and correct. Too bad the beef patties are still too thin. Double and tripple patties are not worth the price.

Ordered in the drive-thru, they had us wait in the pickup spot, sit there for at least 15 minutes before I went inside to check on it, while I was inside absolutely no one asked how they could help me instead employee was having a personal conversation with guests he apparently knew

I recently purchased a frappe through the McDonald’s app. Typically, if they do not have something, the app states that it is out. I used my points to purchase this and was told that they weren’t doing frappe’s after I walked inside to pick up my order. I was not offered anything in exchange and basically had to lose my points and not receive the product. This is the second time I have had issues with this location. The first time, I ordered DoorDash for myself and my family and my children were the only ones to receive their meal. My meal was $14 through DoorDash and I didn’t even get it.

Drive through breakfast this morning at about 7:45. I ordered a McGriddles. After paying at window 1 I was handed pancakes at window 2. When I handed it back I sat there for 2-3 minutes and was told to pull up. After watching 3 cars get their food and leave I tooted my horn. Then they brought me my sandwich. An hour later I have food poisoning. Don’t normally leave negative reviews, but this place earned it and I had to let everyone know my experience.
