Southside Junction Tap House

I never write reviews, but this place is definitely worth one! An iconic establishment with exceptional bartenders, cooks, and a truly outstanding owner! If only the band had played 'Free Bird' — that would have been the icing on the cake!

Don’t sleep on one of the best spots in West Virginia. Friendly staff, good food, and a large variety of drink options. Lots of live music, trivia, and other events.

The food and the drinks at Southside Junction are top notch. We had the portobello bites with the chipotle crema, buffalo veg wings and the tai peanut salad and all were amazing. The beer selection was vast and everyone at the taphouse was friendly and inviting. We were visiting from out of town and felt right at home. I would definitely recommend if you are visiting new river gorge and want great food and good vibes.

They are the best!! We visited this amazing restaurant all the way from Virginia. The staff were so much fun, friendly and seemed like they genuinely enjoyed working there. The food was absolutely delicious! My fav was the Nashville chicken sandwich! The ambience was lively and cozy, and when we requested to watch the UGA Vs. UF game, they catered to us without a second thought.

Now, here’s where I really can’t thank them enough- I accidentally left my purse there! I was frantic, thinking there’s no way I’d see it again, especially being so far from home. But then Morgan came to the rescue! She reassured us right away, saying not to worry and that she would personally ship my purse back to Virginia. And she did! It arrived safe and sound! Thank you so much again, Morgan!!

P.S. This is my first ever restaurant review and I’m so happy it’s for this place cause this restaurant deserves it all!

Always a fun vibe and good food. Along with innovative burgers and sides, there are lots of local beer choices and interesting drink options. Several days each week you will find some form of entertainment from comedy to trivia to cool bands.

This was the 2nd time we ate here. Food was a limited menu due to issues in the kitchen. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rootbeer is amazing!

The food was terrible. No table service, you have to go up to order. All food was room temperature. Major safety hazard. Not cold. Not hot. Room temperature. Go somewhere else with less chance of getting ill. We had a few bites of our table full of food and left. Wish we had requested a refund but I didn’t think it was worth the hassle.

Kid-friendliness: I would not recommend bringing children in here. Not appropriate. Propaganda hung on the front door and around bar is a red flag that this place is not for children.
