A Taste of Big City Dining in Small Town AmericaMy wife and I recently ventured into the heart of Fort Ashby, WV to indulge in what we heard was a hidden gem of culinary delight. It was our first time dining there, and as we sat down, I couldn't help but think we should have discovered this place much sooner. Nestled in the quaint charm of small-town America, this restaurant offered a dining experience that rivaled those of big city fine establishments.FOOD:I opted for the Lemon Pepper Salmon accompanied by a baked potato and applesauce. From the first bite, I knew I was in for something special. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the seasoning was spot on. Having dined in various locations across the country, I can confidently say that this dish surpassed many I've tried, even those on the famed Las Vegas Strip. The flavors were exquisite, and every element of the meal spoke of freshness and attention to detail.SERVICE:Despite the bustling atmosphere upon our arrival, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly, albeit with a short wait. The slight delay in receiving our food was understandable, given the evident care taken to prepare each dish to order. Throughout our meal, the attentive staff made sure we were well taken care of, with multiple servers checking in on us. Such exceptional service deserved more than the standard tip; I happily marked off the 25% option on the bill.ATMOSPHERE:As we settled into our seats, I couldn't help but appreciate the comfortable ambiance surrounding us. The décor resembled that of a scaled-down Cracker Barrel, but with a touch of sophistication. The music played in the background enhanced the dining experience, setting just the right tone without overpowering conversation. The layout of the restaurant was conducive to easy navigation, and the overall atmosphere contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable evening. In conclusion, this restaurant is more than worth the journey, even if it means driving a couple of hours to reach it. My wife and I found ourselves wishing we had discovered it sooner, but we're grateful for the memorable dining experience it provided. If you're in search of exceptional food, impeccable service, and a welcoming atmosphere, look no further than this hidden gem in Fort Ashby. Trust me; you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I wandered down to the Corner Bistro for the first time this afternoon. I told him after the first few bites of our lunch that I was sad we waited so long to try it! I was expecting comfort food (country grandma style) but what we got was comfort food BEAUTIFULLY elevated! My husband and I consider ourselves foodies so sometimes it takes a special restaurant to grab our attention and the Corner Bistro is exactly that- so special! I definitely didn’t expect to find a cute little bistro of this quality in the middle of Fort Ashby, WV. This place is a gem! Don’t miss it!

A group of us came in to the bistro to order the chicken special. We were a group of 6 and was reffed to the establishment. we waited 45 min on our order, we all ordered the special. Our waitress never checked on us. I had to ask the front counter the reason for the delay. They just apologized for the wait, no time limit on when our order would be ready. Everyone had a pleasant attitude but the delay felt intentional. Another individual from our group sat by himself but next to us and his food came within minutes of his order his food . Next the chicken wasn't anything to write home about the grease was old, food wasn't good it was ok. No manager apologizes. no discount. We had to take our food to go. Long story short never visiting the establishment ever again

Wonderful food and friendly staff. I had the Friday fish with mac-n-cheese, and stewed tomatoes special. I've never been a big fan of stewed tomatoes, but theirs was excellent. I'll be going back and if they have it, I'll get some more. .

Adorable little Bistro! Menu is perfect size. Delicious lemonade options. Blue cheese burger was great! Friends got the Friday Pile Up (wings, shrimp and fries) special which they said was delicious! It smelled amazing! LOL!Others in the group got the Chicken Parm sandwich and chicken tenders...all were delicious. I love that they use books for the guest check! Will stop in again on my next trip through.
