Solid take out. Great burger. A bit chilly eating outside in january but the canal house cannot control that.

Had a wonderful outdoor meal with my son. He had been here before and recommended it. I had the blue cheese burger and he had the salmon with risotto. Both absolutely fantastic and perfectly cooked. The side salad was delicious too, very fresh and colorful. Everything was contactless and safe and the waitress was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

What a gem! As we walked up from the canal to another restaurant, the aroma of the burgers is what me literally stop in my tracks! Friendly staff, Covid precautions, large enough menu with vegan options, fresh ingredients and a lovely outdoor yard/garden with bistro tables, outdoor couches, and umbrellas. Avoid the over crowed, long waits by the canal & take a walk up the street, burn some calories & enjoy The Canal House.

The Canal House is fantastic!! Not only do they have the best service around but, their food is amazing!! They offer a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and wonderful food! Hands down the best restaurant around! We are already planning our next visit.

Food was great. Service was awesome. They brought water for my dog. Chatted with owner for a bit and quite enjoyed it. So close to all the hiking at Harper’s Ferry, I will be back to eat next hike day.

We were taking a stroll and thought we could grab some coffee. They weren't open yet but Matt offered us seats on the porch and went ahead and brewed us coffee in to go cups so we could continue our stroll. Nice guy and would love to come back some day to dine there!

Wonderful family run joint. Plenty of vegetarian and healthy options ? My wife and I enjoyed the hospitality and food so much we had two meals here.

My husband and I came to Harpers Ferry to for our honeymoon. The caretaker of the B&B suggested we stopped by for dinner here and I am so happy she did. We went on a Monday and we’re pre-warned that they usually have a limited menu on Monday (opened Friday-Monday so their stock of food is lower on Monday). Knowing this we went and after finding parking on the street, walked up to the front. They have good COVID precautions. We ordered and paid at the front door then walked to the side of the house for the outdoor dining. All of the tables were spaced out appropriately and my now husband and I chose a cabana seat. The gentleman who took our order at the front (one of the owners?) delivered our drinks and food to us. Our food was amazing! I had a Mac and cheese while my husband had the train wreck burger (very messy so caution). I was happy and so was my husband. Since we were visiting, we talked to the gentleman and he gave us a few recommendations for things to do in town (so friendly!). All in all, a great experience in my book.

The Canal House Cafe has become a regular stop with every visit to Harper’s Ferry. Not only a beautiful place, the people working here are friendly, the food and drinks are phenomenal, and even during COVID times they have an incredibly cute, tree-shaded yard to sit and enjoy your meal in.This is also a walk down the hill to the historic center of Harper’s Ferry, (where parking is far more scarce!) and on the walk there are plenty of additional cute shops, stops, and history, which only add to the charm and richness of your visit!They also do have vegan and vegetarian options for anyone looking for plant-based options. ?

Awesome customer service, lovely outside seating and a very tasty burger. Me and my family really enjoyed our Saturday evening at the Canal House Cafe.

Amazing place that actually takes the pandemic seriously with true contactless interactions. Food was delicious and our waitress super sweet and attentive. Backyard seating was lovely though be warned only about half of it is protected from the elements if it rains. Will definitely return next time we're in Harpers Ferry.

The food was excellent and the owner/server was friendly and gracious. They’ve converted to all outdoor seating due to COVID-19 and we were very distanced from the other diners. My burger was juicy and delicious. My partner had the vegan pesto grilled cheese and it was quite tasty. Glad we found this place!

This food is spectacular!! So delicious, fresh, and healthy - the bread for the sandwiches is made fresh in-house. Portions were fairly generous too. And staff is very kind. They had very pleasant outdoor seating to accommodate those dining-in during this pandemic. We will definitely be back next time we are in Harper's Ferry!
