“You can tell when you drive up to a place if the food is good by how busy the parking lot is. Sure was busy, but a few minute wait just allowed us to fall in love with the quaint interior of this Cafe. The food was as good as the wait staff! Would definitely plan to eat here again, to try the breakfast menu! The exterior porch all decorated for Christmas just added to the charm!”

“My wife and I traveled here, with our autistic son, on February 19 2026. The food was delicious and the owner and his “boss” were terrific hosts. I had the bbq pork sandwich with fries. She had the club sandwich and fries. The first thing I want to say is that for train car food this experience beats Amtrak 10000%!! Ok enough with the jokes, the pork sandwich was well beyond amazing. I’m not much of a bbq sauce person (so if you are beware) but I wanted to give it a try. I thought other than a burger this would be the better choice of a manly dish between the two. The bbq was cooked perfectly and was so tender and flavorful. The sauce didn’t have the typical bbq sauce(baby rays) flavor. I could tell or atleast I think it was homemade. It was the perfect topping to the pork sandwich. My wife’s review on her dish: —delicious, good portions, bacon was crispy, 10 out of 10. Service was fast and friendly. The best part of the food in my opinion was the seasoned house fries. They did not look like typical McDonald’s fries. They were dark brown and slightly(but perfectly) soggy. The seasoning was a flavor of which I had never tasted. It was out of this world. I mentioned my autistic son at the very beginning because he requires lots of accommodations. He never eats normal food. So I have to prepare his food at home. He ate his portion of food at the table and then he asked for ice cream. When the waitress came to the table she said she had vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. It took my son about 10 times changing his mind before he settled on strawberry 🍓 He loved it and it was a healthy portion. Thanks for this enjoyable experience. Having a child with special needs makes it hard to enjoy some of life’s simple things. Something about being in a train car restaurant had him calmer than normal. We are already planning our return trip during the busy season. I can’t say enough about this place but I’m going end it here. ;)”

“Best food ever! I was in town two days and ate dinner there both nights! I had the Big Veg Burger one night and the Creamy Coco Ramen Bowl the 2nd night. Best dishes I ever ate! I am not a huge dessert person but HAD to have the oat milk ice cream both nights! I had chocolate one night and vanilla the 2nd night. Yummy! Super quaint, fresh food, awesome company, and loved talking to Ben and others. They run an awesome business! Wish I had this restaurant in Indiana! I highly recommend! Thank you guys! Made my trip so much more amazing than it already was! I appreciate your kindness! I will be back someday!”

“Today was our second visit to Joan +Joe’s. And it did not disappoint. The Midwinter Latte was SO GOOD!! My husband got his hot & I got mine iced & both were delicious. Last week my husband got the Caramel Dream & he liked it as well. Very good quality. And the whipped cream is so yummy too. The staff is so friendly & welcoming. “We had an absolutely amazing experience on Homecoming Saturday! The entire Potomac Ridge team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly despite the busy crowd. The kitchen was impressive—getting fresh, delicious food out in less than 10 minutes with smiles all around. I complimented someone from the kitchen, smiling they proudly responded, ‘thank you, breaking records!’ I loved that! As the sun set, the fire pits were lit, and an employee started selling s’mores kits, personally chatting with each group at the fire pits. The heaters under the pavilion were a cozy touch. It all wrapped up with a friendly send-off from the door holder! Such a delightful experience.”
