Really bummed my husband and i frequently come here and this one date night we swing by wanting ice cream at 7pm post dinner only to be turned away by a young brunette lady eager to leave despite the closing time being 8pm. When asked about the hours she told us it’s the new fall hours.

I ordered a Lemonade after hiking for 9 miles. The lemonade was thick and pure sugar. It was sweeter than my moms sweet tea and she put a whole bag in the pitcher. I even got rid of more than half and added water and it was still just sugar and not even a hint of lemon. Never again

After a hard and sweaty hike, on a hot and humid August day, it is so nice to have soft-serve ice cream. It was not great but was decent. Expensive--more than $7 for small...still...glad to have soft serve available right across the train station where I parked my car. The woman who served me was friendly. As I requested, she took a photo of me using my phone.

We recommend the Hobbit size soft-serve, it's size will surprise u. Stay away from the hard ice cream for the portions aren't Hobbit size. My soft serve was smaller then a kid size then they have the nerve to say that all their soft-serve are one size (Hobbit) again find out for yourself. We definitely returning to the area but never again would we buy soft-serve from this place.

Great place to get a treat and rest in the shade at their tables. Good ice cream and very dog friendly. They even give a nice cool treat to your dog!

Reasonable price for snacks and ice cream. We had walking tacos which to me were more like frito pie that we have in Texas but with your choice of the chips they had available (instead of Fritos). I chose Doritos and they put chili and nacho cheese sauce in the bag. The shakes were yummy and affordable. We had our dog along and they gave her a very generously-sized pup cup for free.

Paid almost SIX dollars for a toddler size portion. From their menu, I ordered a chocolate malted shake. The guy taking orders just said “oh, we can’t do shakes.” No further explanation was offered. So then I ordered a chocolate single scoop cone and when I received it (after a long wait) I was disgusted - what a waste of money. Not even a solid scoop but a tiny curl of ice cream - you could see through it (C-shaped curl sitting on top). Husband was told AFTER he ordered and paid that the butter pecan he ordered was now gone and he needed to select another flavor. Meanwhile, when I asked them if this pathetic serving size for $6 was the norm, the girl nonchalantly explained to me that they ran out of chocolate and that’s why my portion was so tiny - as if this was a perfectly normal and acceptable thing. No apology or anything. She reluctantly offered me something else. I looked at the menu and said maybe a little scooo of chocolate chip cookie dough. She said she wasn’t able to do that because it was “too hard to scoop.” (I swear I’m not making any of this up). Meanwhile, the lady standing next to me (who also had ordered and paid a while earlier) was told that the Rocky Road she ordered was all gone and she’d have to choose another flavor. As I’m listening to all this, I’m looking around at the mess in the kitchen, and trash spilling out everywhere onto the deck. This place was a big FAIL in every sense of the word. Seriously, is there even a manager or owner here who cares? Run away from this place. Run fast and don’t look back!

A scoop is big enough for me. I like the vanilla and the butter pecan. The staff are polite.

Our party of four enjoyed two cones and two malts, all were delicious. I favored the banana pudding malt. Our service was quick and friendly. They have several tables for enjoying your food at. However, we strolled through the historic site. Remember, there are no trash cans in the park...take your trash with you.

Parking: Use the Parkmobile app for spots nearby. The MARC train station is nearby so parking may be tough at times. Not bad for a Thursday evening out of season visit.

Delicious ice cream for reasonable cost! There's outdoor seating for a few families & plenty of flavors to choose from.

As far as the milkshakes go, you'd get better value from just mixing ovaltine into a glass of milk

I was excited to bring my kids here on a Monday at 7pm and they are listed as closed at 8, but the worker said they closed at 6:45. Another worker who had lost their phone was outside and I asked him if they really closed at 6:45? And he said it depends on who is working.

Save your money and time and go somewhere else!

Great ice cream. They serve Hershey's hand dipped and other options. Fast service and generous helpings. Picnic tables outside are the only seating options that I could see. Entrance is on the back lower road across from the train station.
