Not an amazing place.
We stayed at this quaint, old, and historic inn a few months ago. This was excatly what we were looking for as we try to avoid corporate establishments as best as we can. The owner Mrs. Karan is wonderful and full of knowledge about the house, which happens to be over 200 years old, and the area. We truly felt at home. The inn is only steps away from restaurants, musuems, beatutiful hikes and true history. We were very pleased in the quality of the room, and the fact that everyone who met us smiled and stopped for a chat. This was especially true of the owner Mrs. Karan. God Bless her as she makes the stay very worth it. If you want true warmth and a real family-type experience than by all means book a stay here. Best wishes to Mrs. Karan from her friends from Warsaw, Poland.
We had a one night stay as part of a road trip through West Virginia and had a wonderful stay in the Mountain Suite Room. Karan was welcoming and also met Glenda the manager who was also very nice to talk to. Harpers Ferry is a beautiful historical town and the Town's inn location was a perfect spot to enjoy this part of West Virginia.
This charming little 202 year old Inn was such a wonderful experience for us visiting Harper's Ferry. The owner Karen welcomed us with her beautiful warm energy and her Inn has that same wonderful energy! Our room had everything we needed and our bed was extremely comfortable! You can spend hours walking around reading the history of the town and the Inn! It was definitely a great experience and our ghost tour did not stop in front of the building, no ghosts at the Town's Inn!!
Very comfortable hotel with great historic feel in a great location in Harpers Ferry. We were doing the bike trail from Pittsburgh to DC and this was our final stop. Karan greeted us upon our arrival and made sure we had everything we needed after a long day of riding. Loved the in-house market so we could restock and make ourselves lunch for the next day.
The Inn couldn’t have been more welcoming or accommodating! We biked on the C&O Towpath in very wet and muddy conditions. They let us hose off our equipment and gear and provided “bike towels” so we could get to the room in less than an absolute mess. The Appalachian room was wonderful. Staff carried our bags, started the electric fire and showed us the room. A great shower with soak tub helped revitalize us, and they did a load of wash (paid) overnight so we were prepared for the next day. Karen and staff were super! The store is well stocked. We helped ourselves to an afternoon coffee and breakfast in the morning. There are also several nice restaurants to choose from for dinner nearby. The only thing lacking is the town and park service need to remedy the stairs up to the pedestrian overpass over the Potomac! To take fully loaded bicycles with panniers up (and down) stairs is a bit ridiculous when cyclists contribute economically to the town’s wellbeing.
Great stay in Harpers Ferry. We enjoyed our time at the Inn and was a perfect stop for our AT hike. The staff was very accommodating. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The market has everything you need to start your day and even stocks some last minute items you may have forgotten or run out of along your hike.
We loved this historic hotel. We felt like we were stepping back into time as we were just a few buildings away from the National Park sites. The owner, Karan, proudly showed us around. Our third floor room was not luxurious but the price was good considering the location. The bathroom on the second floor. Parking is not close; you have to unload in front of the hotel and then park down the hill in the National Park Service parking lot, so pack efficiently. The restaurant is self-service and reasonably priced. The stay at this hotel added to the wonderful experience of visiting Harpers Ferry!
The location of this motel is pretty good however the rooms are somewhat aged and need bringing up to standards. The room we had was pretty crap. The lights were dodgy, had to wiggle the key thing to get them to even work. The toilet roll holders fell off the wall. The ironing board kept collapsing. The paint has bubbled, there are burn like marks on the light fittings. Need to step up and put some money back into this old dinosaur. The pathways are disgraceful. The lawns look great and the pool area but sort out these maintenance issues before there is a fire.
Quaint but very true to character right in the middle of town. If luxury is your thing go elsewhere but we really enjoyed the stone walls, sitting on the street side patio watching the crowds. Beds were comfortable. Showers hot and voluminous. Hostess Glenda provided local color

Mother, Daughter, Granddaughter trip to Harpers Ferry and we stayed in the Town's Inn on the 3rd floor. This quaint inn is absolutely charming. The staff was wonderful -- when we arrived it was pouring rain and Glenda (the Inn's manager) even helped carry our bags to our room! This is unheard of and was most appreciated. Gail is a wonderful asset to your Inn and Kabrina in housekeeping was so helpful and kind to us. You have the best staff ever!! We will be back!!
Property is old and historic but also neglected and needing serious repairs. Pricing is erratic. Lots of clutter; broken furniture stored in the room. Some rooms have bathrooms on a different floor or are shared bathrooms. There was a sewer smell in my part of the building. Glenda and staff do try to keep the place clean and running. Good location but overall I can't recommend it.
We loved The Town’s Inn, perfect location, nice atmosphere and the most gracious hosts. We look forward to our next visit and stay in the future!
