Food was good and they had a Band at 6pm shortly after we were seated. Server was new (2 days in) and she did a good job. Ordered a cup of cream crab soup and it was delicious. We had a Chicken Caeser salad and a burger. Both entrees were good. If we lived around here we would go back.
After some river tubing with the dog, we decided to stop somewhere to eat before heading back to the city. This place was recommended as pet friendly because it had a patio. When I inquired with the hostess, she said it was okay to bring the dog through the restaurant which I thought was strange, considering they had a side door to the patio. When I went back and got the dog to follow the instruction. She had given me, I was instructed by another hostess that I had to go around...
It was just....ok. My wife and I visited while on vacation. The google listing made it seem much better than it was. The fish and chips weren't bad, but it was by far the best I'd ever had, not even close. The restaurant is in a hotel, so I'm guessing the captive audience tends to make their rating better than it should be. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that are much better.
