Great meal Saturday evening including meatloaf and a bone-in ribeye for my buddy. The guy was working the bar did a great job and everything was wonderful. Everything was wonderful also the potato skins. Excellent bootleggers staff was courteous, kind and efficient. I enjoyed my stay and will return

Tony and I got back into West Virginia last night and decided to stay over in Huntington at the Hilton's Doubletree Hotel. We decided to have a low key late dinner in the bar there. It is very nice and extremely large. Great for a large reunion or wedding function. We ordered some chicken cheese quesadillas and some hot chicken wings with Tony getting a few Budweisers and then I ordered my usual Unsweetened Tea with Lemon & Lime. The food and service was very goodDefinitely recommend to all

This hotel needs a lot of love! Our first room was dirty, stains on the carpet, mold in the shower and the bathroom light was burned out. We called the front desk and asked to be moved, which they did. The second room was hardly any better, the same moldy shower and the door didn’t shut completely without a lot of effort. The hallway smelled musty and the walls up and down the hall were really beat up. I had stayed at this hotel two years ago and enjoyed my stay, since then, it has really gone down hill. Hilton you can do better!

Reception area was very good but the rooms & communal areas let the hotel down. The breakfast room had a huge bin in the middle (not so appealing)! We paid via booking.com but then the hotel charged us again, they did rectify this when I told them. Valet parking was approx $10 & they were great - the receptionist did highlight we could park for free across the road after 6pm. The cleanliness of the rooms could be improved. Personally I would ditch the cookie on arrival marketing ploy & reinvest the money into something more worthwhile!

Everything from our check in to our check out was great! Each person we talked to at the front desk was friendly and helpful. I asked about the breakfast, and we were given a complementary breakfast. I was not expecting that at all. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. Our room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!

The Double Tree by Hilton (Huntington WV) has the best staff possible. Extremely professional and friendly front-desk and the people in the bar/restaurant are wonderful too. Great service and good food.

This hotel had a great location in Huntington making it easy to walk around and shop or dine. Lobby was beautiful and rooms were very comfortable. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. Room was kept at a great temperature.

Hotel is OK, but probably not up to Doubletree standards. I've stayed there twice in the past year and both times they have tried to pawn off grocery store cookies instead of the Doubletree cookies. No comparison! They seem to cut corners in other ways too...

In Huntington on business with my wife. We had previously stayed at this hotel during the pandemic and the staff performed well under trying circumstances. Unfortunately, our experience was not as pleasant this time. We encountered a variety of minor issues in our three days there, but what really stood out was, with a few exceptions, the apathetic uninvolved staff. Upon check-in, we did engage a helpful member of the hotel’s sales department, who offered great restaurant suggestions, but the desk personnel we encountered were more concerned with their screens or phones. We had to walk through one staff member’s cigarette smoke at the entrance while he gazed at his phone. As a Hilton Honors Diamond member I expect more, especially from the Double Tree brand. Sadly, this was not their best performance.

A perfect stay. Nice receptionist. Clean and beautiful room. Great view of the river. Comfortable bed. Nice restaurants to walk to. A wonderful stay in a cute town. I highly recommend. They have sandwiches in the snack bar that were quick and easy. Very nice since we came in late.

Honestly, this hotel is bare minimum. The front desk staff is pleasant. The rooms are run down. If you turn on the light for the bathroom it lights up half the room. The toilet sounds like a jet when you flush it. We didn’t even try the shower. It looked so gross. We tried the breakfast. The tables very unclean. I asked for a rag and got a half hearted swish from a dirty towel. The english muffins were rock hard. The sausage was literally spoiled. My husband had to spit it out. We each ate half of a biscuit and left. No one asked us how our stay was. No one was there to help with luggage. Never even saw a bell cart let alone a bellman.

Overall the hotel is fine. Good location close to restaurants downtown. The staff was helpful but overwhelmed. Only one person on in the evening with a wedding in the hotel, so they front desk person was having to handle more than one person should have to manage. The room, like the hotel in general, is older and could use some upgrades. Reasonably comfortable, but the bathroom had spots of mold/mildew in the shower. Smelled musty, too. Not awful but, again, in need of updating.

The walls are paper thin. We heard someone coughing all night in the room above us and could hear the entire conversation in the room next door about river navigation. The first room we were checked into (KING) had a malfunctioning TV and we had to pack up and were moved to a double queen. It had used teabags in the coffee pot (Ewww.) The paint on the ceiling in the bathroom was also peeling. There was also something that looked like dried vomit in one of the elevators. We were berated by the check-in clerk for booking through a third party, otherwise she "could have done more" to compensate us for our problems. There are decent restaurants nearby, but we saw someone had deficated on the sidewalk when we walked to one. We didn't feel safe and couldn't sleep well. The only plus: I loved the down pillows.

I stayed here on my way home from a trip. There are some things going for the hotel. I loved the lobby area and the huge main floor level that includes where the restaurants are. It is aiso a great location downtown near the Pullman Shops. The positives are that my room (1015) had a nice bright bathroom and was very clean. It had nice flooring and a nice shower. There are 11 floor of rooms. There is valet parking but I was told to use a space in front of the hotel for free. I liked that the heat/AC can be controlled from the window unit or on the thermostat on the wall. It does blow on you while sleeping though. The things what missed the mark are that the shelving unit was broken and one door did not close. It had signs of severed trauma from someone who was careless. The safe in the room would not work and kept reporting an error. I am sure it would have been an easy fix but I was only here for one night. The desk lamp on the desk was not plugged in, likely because the only two outlets wee occupied by the TV and cable box. There is some renovation going on but it started at 8:00 AM this morning. I was here on Sunday and both restaurants were closed, forcing me to hoof it to Red Lobster. The door of the elevator has images of pasta and pizza to make one drool, but, that restaurant is only open for breakfast and is lo longer an Italian place. The breakfast was pretty sad as it is a huge place and it only has a $14 buffet. I was permitted to order off the menu however but found nothing due to my vegetarian diet. I was able to scrounge up a small biscuit and roll. I had coffee. The very nice waitress let me have it for free. I advised her that I think that they need to make it clear that breakfast is NOT free and should post the menu on the window to be seen. When the front desk informs you that this is from 6:00 to 10:00 daily they need to let you know that it is NOT free as I saw two groups of people come in to find out that it was not free. I think the hotel has promise but it needs to be maintained beyond the wonderful bathroom.
