i usually love grindstone, i go all the time. i love matcha and usually it’s quite faint but i can adjust to order. recently there’s been a new face behind the counter. we’ve noticed this person makes the coffee differently with almost a burnt taste, but today i got a matcha. it tasted sour and i look to the bottom there were chunks of milk at the bottom, i go back trying be nice and he remakes it, worse. the whole bottom of the cup was covered with white chunks.
This coffee shop was cute, fast, and the food and coffee were fantastic.
We were in town for the weekend and I almost went elsewhere for coffee because I was in a hurry, but was so pleased with Grindstone that we ended up coming 2 mornings in a row. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.
Best coffee in the tri-state area by a long shot. Always fast and the staff is awesome.
I was told to visit and was not disappointed! Finally a great coffee in this town!
Great espresso drinks! Unfortunately they do use torani syrups for the flavored drinks instead of fresh made
This is a great locally owned coffee shop. I rarely go to Starbucks anymore and would rather give my money to a local business. The coffee (coffee drinks) are excellent but my only suggestion would be to have a stronger coffee taste, especially in the americanos. The baked goods are fantastic and can't go in there without buying a mini cheesecake or a pastry.
Delicious drinks and treats. I recommend the vanilla chai latte, pepperoni roll, mocha cheesecake, bacon feta quich and a London fog. There roof top seating was very nice to enjoy.
There is some food but I didn't try it but the coffee was good.
Fast friendly service. The only complaint is that the building is so small that it made standing in the lobby with only 2 others kind of awkward.
It's alway busy and I wanted to support a local business so I tried it out. The Americano was very weak and lacked any good coffee flavor. The berry pastry was tasty though.

The best blend of quality, house-roasted coffees prepared with care that you will find in town or anywhere near. The best staff as well.

Driving through on our way back to Indiana and decided to get some descent coffee and baked goods. What can I say, the coffee was great, the berry cinnamon roll was fantastic. They had gluten free options for my daughter who is celiac!!
Filling out my time sheet, I set my hotspot in the window for better signal and LEFT IT! It was an hour down the road before I realized what I had done. The great folks at Grindstone were kind enough to locate said hotspot and ship it to me!
Can’t say enough great things about this place. Great service, great coffee and delicious food. GET YOURSELF THERE!!!! I will be back any time I’m in town!
Kid-friendliness: Gluten free options were good!

I was coming to WV from out of town for business and needed coffee and pastries. I’ve never been to the area. I found Grindstone Coffeeology in my Google search. The reviews looked good so I thought I would give them a try.
OUTSTANDING customer service and top notch coffee and pastries. Helen and Cody (sp?) were extremely helpful and customer friendly. The products were ready right on time.
I would highly recommend Grindstone Coffeeology and will use their services and products again.

I have tried to give this place a chance multiple times. The service is good but the menu is not. I got a breakfast sandwich that for one tasted very badly. I open it up and the avocado is dark brown. That means its old and should not be used. The spinach looked old, and this was the second bad experience i have had here. I understand this is a coffee shop but don’t add food to your menu if you can’t serve it to you customers fresh. Theres a high chance this place could make you sick. They need to work with their staff to make sure they are storing food the correct way, as well as not serving food thats been left out. Food thats served this way has had bacteria growing on it that can make someone sick. Make this place purly a coffee shop or fix your food on your menu. Even if your sandwich is $4.00 that shouldnt happen. Make it better and raise the price . You would probably get returning customers.
