The best meal we’ve had locally in years, service was phenomenal (thanks, Maddie) and food was amazing. The filet with Cajun seasoning and the bbq bacon wrapped shrimp will be in our dreams until we return.
Sat at bar.The food was good. Brat-Fries-Side Salad. The side salad came out way late, so it was like a salad for dessert.The first 3 beers I tried to order were not available, ouch.The bartender - well I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was tired and maybe not feeling well (if so, why is he at work?). Because he was about as low energy as you could find. He disappeared for about 10 minutes or so, but thankfully one of the floor staff made sure I got my food.

What a nice surprise in West Virginia! We arrived at about 3:30 pm and got right in. Our server Landon was awesome and friendly! The food was soooooooo good. Get the Mushroom and more burger! Big, thick and Juicy! So good it doesn't need anything extra! The wings were Delish! The Steak Mac n Cheese was cheesy, hot and delish! The beer selection was outstanding! You gotta try this place if you get the Huntington WV!

The food was excellent, steaks are cooked properly.Side dishes were right on time and tasty I would recommend the potato skins.Our wait staff was incredible, attentive, made sure we had drinks at all times.Worthy of a repeat visit.FYI go early parking is limited on the street.

Just wasted over an hour in an empty Huntington Ale House waiting on our order only to be told the "ticket never got to the kitchen." We were literally the only ones in there. POOR MANAGEMENT. Won't be going back any time soon.

Dirty sticky floor. Waiter was very disengaged. Fries were decent, but the burger was definitely below average; overcooked and under seasoned.It's a dark, uninviting space with uninviting employees. Stay away.I have read the owner's responses and I am sure it will indicate that I am wrong. But I travel constantly, and I'm not.

Arrived at 12:40pm (lunch meal). Seated immediately. Seated in the rear of the restaurant. Once seated, it took 10 minutes for our waitress to greet us and take our drink order. TWO waitresses was working the rear for two tables. The place was not busy. One group of 4 was leaving when we were seated, and another group of six was near us that had finished ordering when we were seated. 1st red flag was when one of the waitresses was complaining out loud how the group of 4 left a terrible tip and bashed them. Once we ordered, it took (1:55pm) OVER ONE HOUR and FIFTEEN MINUTES to get our food. Our waitress continued to stop periodically and apologize and kept saying your food is next up.....which it should be since we were the only group in there. Refills for our drinks took forever. The place started to get busy when we were leaving. The place has a very cool look. 2 bar areas, one as soon as you enter and another in the rear of the building. The food did come out hot and was very good. The wait is uncalled for, unprofessional staff.

A mixed bag. Every time we’ve eaten here the food is very good. And service up till now was passable and good enough. This time service was lacking. Our server was not knowledgeable of the menu. Was sort of distant and not exactly personable. One example is when we asked about sides she would say I think it comes with this or that. She never offered to confirm anything we asked and it felt like we were inconveniencing her. Refills were minimal. The salads were brought out with the meals and not before. It was just not a confidence inspiring dining experience to say the least. But also understandable somewhat with today’s staffing issues. But aside from that more concerning was the bill where the prices we were charged clearly were not the same as the menu. I don’t know if this was due to our server not knowing or caring about entering it properly, over charging us on purpose or if Ale House has not updated their menu. I’m not going to say I will never go back but Ale House is going to rank low on our rotation of restaurants we enjoy. If I ever do go back if the service is like this we will leave. It is not cheap to eat at the Ale House so don’t provide your paying customers with cheap service. Our server should not be serving people if you want customers to have a good impression.At a minimum they need some more training and customer service skills.
