As one of the only local bakeries that sells them, I come in here at least once a week and get French macaroons. They’re always packed with flavor and have a really good texture. However, macaroons are a very finicky dessert and don’t store well over time, so I recommend coming in and getting them early in the week! Employee’s are always nice and prices are fair considering the time put in and the quality of the products. Will always recommend when someone wants a sweet treat!
Parking: Limited parking due to the downtown location.

Not only was the pineapple upside down cake of theirs an absolute hit, but they have amazing customer service. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and going above and beyond. You all are beautiful people and I am so grateful.

I come in here often to get bakery items for holidays or special occasions and every time, their desserts have been amazing. However, today I bought a half dozen of cupcakes and cookies and the cupcakes were incredibly dry and stale. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed this go around. Suggesting maybe to rotate your bakery items out pretty often so they all stay fresh for customers? I'm not sure I'll be back after this experience.

We got a triple berry pie from this shop and it was delicious. It was our first time going and unfortunately they were sold out of almost everything due to the Christmas holidays so we didn’t get to try any of the cakes or cookies. The pie we picked was priced well for a bakery (almost priced the same as you’d get from the frozen section) but tasted 20x better than a store bought pie. The crust was buttery, cooked well without a soggy bottom, and flaky. The filling wasn’t sickeningly sweet like many berry pies are. Instead, the filling beautifully highlighted the flavor of the berries while satisfying our sweet tooth. Will definitely shop here again. The shop was clean and you can tell the owner takes pride in her work.

Macaroons don't taste like macaroons. It was basically falling apart into crumbs. The red velvet cupcake looked good but looks can be deceiving. There was no flavor and it was oily. Tried starting a converstation with one of the workers there and she was rude://

They are uninviting which give off nonchalant prejudice vibes, that is not consistent with customers of a relative demographic to the staff.

The bakery was very clean, friendly establishment, and the cupcakes were the best I’ve ever had. We went in for wedding cake tasting and got to sit with the owner and discuss everything. The wedding cake was very reasonably priced for the size we picked. Highly recommend for weddings or just a treat!

Disappointing. We scheduled a cake tasting for our wedding in Ashland, KY. My fiancé was looking to try custom flavors and the owner seemed happy to work with us. We paid $53 for the cake tasting a little over a month in advance. A week before the tasting I called the shop to confirm our appointment - this was important since we live in Wisconsin and cannot make many trips to our home state of KY. The worker at the shop said we were not on the schedule, but she would have the owner call me back to confirm. I never got a confirmation call, so two days before the tasting we called again and the owner confirmed the cake tasting. She asked to move it earlier since her husband had a scheduled surgery, which was fine. The day of the tasting, we drove the 2 1/2 hours from our hometown to Huntington (on top of the 8 hours from WI -> KY). 3 minutes before our appointment, we got a call from the shop asking if we had a cake tasting at 11. The staff said that the owner found out the day before that her husband’s surgery was moved even earlier, so she did not make any of the cakes. Why we did not receive a call sooner, I’m not sure. We asked for a refund and chose to find cakes elsewhere. A week later, I had still not received a refund. My fiancé called to again request that we receive one, and the owner didn’t even apologize or make note of her poor professionalism. I understand things happen, but if you’re going to accept someone’s money and time, at least communicate with them. After calling did not work, we finally received a refund after emailing the business

This used to be my all time favorite bakery and I’d come in multiple times a week. What I loved most was how each cupcake was unique and I’d follow their webpage to see the new flavors. They no longer update online for you to see what the daily and monthly flavors are. They also for some reason decided to get rid of the cupcake fillings. Cupcakes like the raspberry which used to be my favorite are now dry and feel like they are missing something. While they still have a nice selection, I don’t visit now very often now because it used to be better. I’d come back if these things changed back though.

I picked up a cake at 3pm today my order specified yellow cake with buttercream and strawberry topping. When I picked up the cake the owner asked the girl working if she used "the fresh strawberries" (see in the photos that she DID NOT) and the girl said that she did. Also, I didn't look at the cake before leaving with it, bc I "trusted" the product. The cake didnt appear to be yellow, but i couldve overlooked that. The real problem were the strawberries on the cake. They were slimy, bad, and inedible. I don't know why someone would put those on a cake. I have ordered from. Paula Vega for years, but this is my last time. Over $50 for the cake I received is a joke. Please look at these photos. Whomever ok'd this cake needs to be fired. I picked these directly off of the cake that I picked up just a few hours ago, and yes, it's been stored in my fridge. They mushed in my fingers bc they're rotten.
