Waitress Katie was so great and beautiful. She recommended great dishes and kept our drinks full the whole time!
Do not come unless you have over an hour to wait for food to be served
We were visiting from Cincinnati and our hotel was right across the street. We came in for the video games, and I'm so glad that we did! I didn't get to try the beers, since I had to drive, but our food was fantastic. Delicious, good-sized wings... huge sandwiches... addictive fries. Our server was ridiculously patient with us (various members of our group kept wandering away to play arcade games, so it took us a WHILE to decide what we wanted). We'll be back next yearđ€
Service was fantastic, food and drinks were delicious! Can't wait to go back!
Very fun little place! We had the gouda mac, elote, duck fries, and Bowser. Everything was delicious and our server was kind and helpful. If we're ever in the area again this place will be top of mind.
We just moved to Charleston from NJ a week ago. We tried The Peddler about four years ago, when we were out in WV for vacation and the food and beer were amazing, so we were extremely excited to come back out to Huntington and eat there again. Unfortunately, the food quality took a steep nosedive. We ordered wings with the blueberry BBQ sauce for an appetizer and the wings were small and overcooked. I got the Aphro-Bitey lamb burger and it was dry and overcooked. To its credit, the toppings were pretty good. My girlfriend got the brisket sandwich on the gluten free bun; the bun was soggy and there were more big hunks of fat than there should have been. The craft beers were just âmeh.â Having spent $60 on lunch, I wouldâve expected a much better experience, and the Peddler definitely wonât be my first choice in the future. Do a better job with your presentation and quality control.
Stopped in and placed an order to go for chicken wings and cheese curds. I live in Poca, so it takes a while to get home. But the order was wrong. Called and the lady said no orders were taken for wings. I guess mis communication, but I sat at the bar and placed the order. Oh well.
Awesome service by Hayden plus great food!
I usually give good ratings to places. I have to do a 1 star here though. I came for a late dinner with my team from work. Ordered root beer which they make in house & for $3 itâs not too bad so I ordered a second. I also ordered a chicken sandwich. It came out very dark. I suppose old oil is used since the fries were a bit stiff too. My co worker asked maybe itâs just the seasoning they used but I grabbed a piece of the chicken patty and it was difficult to break and also black so it was burnt. It happens so I just informed my waitress who was amazing by the way of the small issue. Again I know it happens so not a big deal. They made me a new sandwich and the cooks didnât look disturbed by the request either so again not an issue. However the second chicken sandwich was equally burnt. The bun was burnt black too. I also saw a black French fry on the plate with the hard fries. So again this is bad oil BUT also probably cooking too long. Usually if someone says their food is cooked too long a restaurant will make sure to cut a minute or 2 off the cook time. So I informed our waitress who talked to the manager and she came back and said that they would take care of the bill. I didnât get any other food to eat. When my co workers were done we got our bills separately and I was handed a bill for $6 still because they charged me for the soda. For the $3 dollar soda thatâs made in house for pennies on the gallon, they felt the need to STILL charge me for a drink. Ha! I mean donât burn my food twice and say that youâre going to take care of the bill but then need to get at least $6 from me. That is literally how bad reviews come in. Thatâs not the right way to do things. So for double burning all my food and having the audacity to charge me for a fountain soda I canât recommend this restaurant at all to anyone. The 1* is deserved.
Absolutely delightful service. We loved this young man.

I stopped in here for lunch on a Sat afternoon in the fall. I ordered the Dig Dug, which is supposed to be brisket. This was not brisket. It was not slow smoked flat or point. It was a chuck roast that was braised. This is a simple pot roast sandwich. The parmesian fries were good as was my Octoberfest beer. The bar had two Tv's one was completely broken and the other had a damaged screen. There was a third oddly placed around the corner. Not a great place to watch college sports.
Some of the best pub grub Iâve ever had. The GOAT sauce wings were great and those duck fat fries are delicious! Wife got the pork nachos and loved them. Kids got some grilled cheeses and they were monster sandwiches. The nitro root beer was alright. The only reason itâs 4/5 is because a good portion of the arcade/pinball machines either didnât work or stole my quarters.
Finding The Peddler was such a delight! The atmosphere was great and seeing the brewing tanks was so neat. The staff were super pleasant and helpful, answering our questions with ease. There was an excellent selection of beers, something for everyone and I'm not a big beer drinker!.. and then there is the food... the food, what can i say, its just the best place to eat in Huntington handsdown!!!
I ordered 2 John doughs to go, made it all the way to the house - only one burger had a burger on it.
I havenât seen WV for five years since I moved to South Carolina and for five years I have constantly thought about The Peddler and my favorite sandwich. Well I finally visited and Itâs as good as it was before I left!
