The Humble Tomato is a charming restaurant in Lewisburg, offering a cozy and historical atmosphere. The restaurant's interior is inviting, and the friendly staff contributes to a warm, welcoming vibe. The menu is simple and Italian, with vegetarian options marked clearly. Recent visitors appreciated the gluten-free pasta and pizza options, which were delicious and added to the enjoyable experience. The meatballs were also highly praised, considered some of the best ever. The outdoor seating is available when the weather is nice, and despite being a small town, the restaurant tends to be busy, even on a Monday night. Customers have enjoyed the tasty Magnum PI pizza, known for its combination of capicola, grilled pineapple, and bacon, as well as the cheesy breadsticks and Chuck Norris pizza. The Humble Tomato sauce was described as savory and not too acidic, while the cheese had a buttery flavor reminiscent of buffalo mozzarella. The staff was welcoming, warm, and helpful, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all.
