Great food! Best coffee in the valley! Local artisan’s crafts for sale. Ice cream so good, it’s famous!
Of ALL the places in Wardensville & Lost River, The LR General Store is the best store for variety. They offer great lunches, fresh & delicious, plus amazing treasures upstairs in their Lost River Vintage section, and so many unique items in the lower part of the store to buy for yourself or as fantastic gifts! Not to mention the delicious ice cream & baked goods! We can never leave without something sweet!

The employees (who I assume were the owners) were really awesome. I came to Lost River for a bike race, and they were nice enough to serve me food right before they closed the night before. So I was able to get something to eat before I burned 4000 calories the next day. I also stopped in during the race because I was sick of eating gels and they provided excellent and quick service. Everyone also had great customer service and were friendly and talkative.
