Based on the reviews, The Broken Axle is a restaurant located near the Hatfield and McCoy trails with a neat, laid-back vibe. The staff is described as very sweet, friendly, beautiful, and welcoming, working hard to make sure guests are happy. The food is delicious and amazing, with mentions of the bbq pork sliders with fresh chips, the burger, and a waffle on the dessert menu that is the best thing ever tasted. There are many beers on tap. Service can be slow due to being understaffed, and some items on the menu may not be available. One burger was way over-salted, with salt on the toasted bread. Despite this, the staff makes up for it with amazing service. It is a fun spot where guests can drive a side-by-side right up to it. The restaurant is a great perk for those staying at Appalachian Outpost, and it is definitely recommended for anyone riding in the area.
