Just spent a busy fall weekend in the Frost / Cass / Marlinton WV area and our stop for Sunday evening dinner was a refreshing break. Despite very busy, our waitress was very attentive. Our thirsty group of 10 (across two tables) were given quick service on water and drink deliveries. Good variety of food choices, I choose smoked pork chop dinner which was so tender and tasty. Highly recommend a stop here to enjoy good food and good service.

We have been eating breakfast here for years. The food is always great and the service is spot on. There is usually about 6-8 of us for breakfast on Sundays in October and never any issues. The tradition will continue.

To start with the rooms there was a very obviously a drug addicted person staying so that automatically makes it not appealing. Said drug addict was passed out in there car in the parking lot. With the service we waited for over an hour to get our food, the whole pop machine was broken, when we did get the food I would say that over half the tables food was wrong in one way or another. There was another time I was in and I had a melted plastic lid in my Mac and cheese, then another member in my groups food was cold. Both times they have been out of things that they have no reason to not have. The management needs to be reevaluated. I will not be coming back and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

We're riding the Greenbrier River trail spending two nights in Marlinton.

Service was friendly and efficient.

We had the WV Specialty and the grilled chicken. The hash browns were large sized diced potatoes well cooked with a nice slightly crispy texture. Very good!

We both had cole slaw which was fresh and a good portion.

We had a couple local beers which was refreshing after a 50-mile bike ride.

Location is perfect along the river and has outside seating. Easy walk from our lodging.

Handicap parking and a ramp makes the restaurant accessible for the whole family from strollers to walkers!

I ate there twice. The food was very good for what is essentially a burger joint. The fries are very good. The severs are very friendly and readably attentive. The location is great, right on 8th Street next to the Greenbrier River and a couple blocks from the trail.

Very disappointing experience. Was excited to sit out on the deck - only to find that they had a Yellowjacket nest and weren’t recommending that anyone sit out there.

Ordered breakfast- just a basic scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and home fries. Both the home fries and the bacon were very undercooked. Was going to ask them to throw them back on the grill, but the waitress never returned to our table. Waited until the other person in my party finished their food, still hadn’t seen the waitress- just walked to the back and asked for a box and the check. I finished cooking it at the AirBnb.

A nice little diner with inside and outside dining. Inside is the normal restaurant styles and menu. Go outside to eat on the upper deck and enjoy watching a host of water foul swimming in the Greenbrier River. Come and visit this amazing view of West Virginia and America at its best.

Have never eaten there because we could not get waited on. Tried to eat 3 times, but couldn't get waited on. The last time, there were 3 of the. chatting at counter and they just ignored us. Never again.

My three year old son, my father, and I stopped here on a Saturday, at around 20:30 on the way home from the Bigfoot Festival in Sutton, West Virginia. The restaurant is listed at closing at 21:00. I could tell that the two waitress and the gentleman working in the kitchen were getting their stations wrapped up for the night. We were lovingly welcomed! I made sure to ask them if it was okay if we came to eat, because I don’t want to be one of those patrons that comes in before closing and prevents everyone from getting home. There was a table of about six guy friends that were there when we arrived, so we weren’t the only ones. My father got the West Virginia Original, that’s kielbasa, home fries, mushrooms, onions, peppers: served on an iron skillet. It was really tasty. My son ordered from the kid’s menu: chicken tenders and French fries. I got the side salad, and it was a very beautiful salad. Years ago, my father and I ate here. I got the catfish, and it was delicious. The waitresses were very sweet. They were kid friendly.

Service was slow, waited 5 mins to be greeted and another 3 mins for menus to be delivered. Ate lunch with my kids yesterday and was so disappointed. I got their handmade burger and took 2 bites amd had to stop. The meat had a horrible flavor to it like it was rancid. I thought it was my imagination so i took the 2nd bite and confirmed it was horrible. The fries were good, and the white cheddar mac was good. My daughter lives the chicken quesadilla. Not sure what happened to the burger but i will not eat it again. Im just glad my kids liked their food.

Such a great place, several family members from several states and I meet in Marlinton once each year during Pioneer Days. This is always one of our favorite places to visit. Everyone in our group is always very pleased. This year was great as always, the food was perfect and Tiffany W. is a star. Thank You to all of the staff at the Greenbrier!

We went to eat here tonight while we were in town for Pioneer Days. I got the WV Original (pictured), my son got a cheeseburger, and my daughters got country fried steak with salad and a baked potato. The portions were generous and the service was fast!
