It is a place of prayer. There is a profound peace there that can be very healing.
A friend of Mine, Who is one of the most devout believer's that I know, Had his application to become a Monk at this monastery rejected, Because he has Autism/Asperger's Syndrome. How is it that a religious monastery can openly discriminate against individuals who have developmental disability's? How is that acceptable behavior from religious monks? How could they even do this? Like it or not, It is WRONG to disqualify an individual from sacrificing his attachments to the world and wanting to serve in a monastery to be turned away simply because of something that can be an insignificant thing! Disgusting behavior!
Life changing experience. Take a retreat. Disconnect from everything but God and nature.
Beautiful and prayerful place to visit.
What a nice surprise for an out of town vegan. Delicious vegan breakfast sandwich. What a gem.
