Where do I start. We showed up for our 7:30 reservation 10 minutes early and was told that our table was just getting their salads and we would have to wait. They did put us at a table about 10 minutes after our reservation time. After being seated, it took awhile to get our drink order in. When they finally showed up she took our food orders. We never had anyone come by the table for about 30 minutes. They then showed up with the salads that were not that good, and that is saying something when lettuce is bad. When they finally showed up with the food, they were very small portions and everything was cold. Seeing as food is to be held as 140 degrees our was about room temp. They offered to heat it up, but that wasn't the issue, it should never have been served that way. We where told that they were busy. When asked why there wasn't any gravy on the potatos, we were brought broth and told that the Chef has a different way of making things. Have you every used broth on mash potatos and advertised it as mashed potatos and gravy?? The dinner was $45 person plus drinks and 20% gratiuity. If the dinner had been as advertised, I would have been happy paying that price, but when the service was so bad that our meal took 2 hours to complete and the food was way below par, that is a different story. When the manager was told this, we were treated like we should be happy they offered to reheat our meal. The Meal we were served was not near the amount others were served and we received our roll refridgerator cold rolls without butter right before our dessert.

Absolutely the worst dining experience we have ever experienced in our lives. Seven of us had reservations for 730pm. We did arrive about ten minutes early. The hostess acted shocked that we were even there to be honest. We waited for about for a few minutes for them to decide which table to put us at which was fine. Once seated it took forever for the one waitress to take our drink order. Once we received the drinks we waited once again for someone to come take our order. We all placed our orders, then what felt like eternity went by for our salads to get to the table. After the salads finally arrived and were consumed they brought out three of the seven of us their food and it was cold. No gravy on the mashed potatoes as ordered. Then after a few minutes two more received their food, once again cold food and no gravy. We finally was able to get the lady's attention and she got some gravy which was simply just turkey broth. When it was questioned about the gravy she said our chef does things differently. Then lastly my husband and I received our food. We ordered the turkey and ham. My poor husband got about three bites worth of turkey on his plate. Our food was a tad bit warmer probably due to complaining about the first plates that came out. While eating I kept having to put my arm up high to get attention to get any kind of service for our drinks. Waitress then brought us our bills before we even got our desert orders. We waited for a long time for our deserts so we got another ladies attention and she said oh my we must of gave your deserts to another table which absolutely stunned us due to us being the only table left. We then had to wait again. Finally we received our dessert. We then waited again to check out. We had to get loud to even get the lady to come check us out. The waitress then asked us how everything was we all explained how the food was cold and she stated she was the only waitress all night with only two helpers who didn't have a clue what to do. No discount was given and a 20%tip was added to the bill which I would of been fine with if the service was okay. Seven of us spent 430 dollars for the worst dining experience ever.

Was looking forward to a great meal that they had advertised. Arrived for 7:30 reservations and was told be had to wait for table as our table was just getting their food and we had to wait for them to get done. We finally got placed at a table around 8 and didn't have our order taken until 8:20. It took forever to get drinks. Salads finally showed up about 20 minutes later and the salad was coated in something and tasted like crap. When food showed up everything was ice cold. They offered to heat it up but at that point we were so hungry we just ate it. They forgot the gravy for potatoes and brought out broth as gravy saying their chef makes gravy different. We they asked us about our meal, we told them our issues and they said sorry we are busy tonight. With reservations being required, you think they would have planned ahead. We were charged $45 per person plus automatic 20% gratuity for each person for service we didn't receive. I wouldn't have minded this if service was better. Wait service only stopped at the table 2 times and everytime forgot what they were asked for. If you are looking for a high priced place with bad food and service this is it.

This spot is a place to avoid unless you like wasting your money on bad food and poor service. They had planned this meal with reservations only and had 1 person serving. All food received at table was cold. Rolls showed up right before dessert. We had to ask for our dessert 2 times. They brought us our bill before we even order our dessert. Their excuse for all of the issues with food and service was that they were busy. If you want a place that charges $45 per person PLUS a 20%gratuity for a cold meal then by all means eat here.

Was pleasantly surprised at the fast service even when jam-packed with people. The food was fantastic, and specialty drinks were delicious!

The building as absolutely gorgeous and feels like home, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful with the menu, the food was some of the best I've eaten in our area. Wished I hadn't waited so long to come and definitely won't wait so long to come back.

Laid back, welcoming. Love the cabin feel of the place. The pool seemed clean enough, false grass patio. Bathrooms were clean. Love the cabin rentals, we stayed in 37, best view of the mountain. Can't wait to go

We stayed at Devil's Backbone Campground and ate at Tipple Tavern on our first night. It was ok. We weren't impressed but weren't necessarily disappointed. A few nights later we went back and had excellent service, food, and drinks! Morgan was our server/bartender on Saturday night and made me a pomegranate margarita that was absolutely amazing!! I recommend if your in the area to stop! You can access the restaurant, which has a pool on site, right from trail 59 of Devil's Anse!

Our food was good, however, the service was TERRIBLE! Make sure you DON’T get seated in Katelyn’s section. We waited over 10 minutes for refills and when our food finally arrived the chicken tenders and fries were warm not hot which was very surprising since it wasn’t busy, (I’m assuming) b/c she was MIA for so long, we literally watched her chit-chatting at the bar and in the (I assume) kitchen area. When she finally brought our food she offered condiments and we said “yes please”…. we never got our condiments. We gave her tip to the hostess b/c she was non-stop the entire time we were there, whether seating patrons, folding napkins, wiping tables, etc! When we gave the hostess Katelyn’s tip and let her know it was b/c Katelyn sucked and we had observed her (the hostess) working, she stated that she had noticed as well; I didn’t get her name but Tipple Tavern, she was spot on the entire time we were there and we felt she deserved it more than Katelyn.
