We came to Matewan to ride the trails and very quickly discovered Trailhead was the best joint in town! We ended up here for dinner 3 nights in a row! The food is really good. I sampled the tacos, grilled shrimp, white mac and cheese, the jumbo pretzel and a quesadilla and every dish had really good flavor. They have great options for mixed drinks and were very accommodating with special cocktail requests.

stayed in hatifield hideout river front campgrounds across the river all week and we ate here every day and tried almost everything on menu its really really good food and the people are so nice 💯 recommend this place for your stop
Best bartender ever! "Ally Cat" was amazing! The philly steak fries were so good I needed a piece of bread to clean the plate 🤣 Highly recommend stopping in for a drink, a bite or better yet BOTH! Will definitely be returning!
