We enjoyed another excellent dinner at BP with delicious food and outstanding service. The filets were perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes were outstanding. We especially appreciated that the restaurant was quiet enough to allow for easy conversation and thanks to the host for accommodating our seating request. Our server surprised us with a birthday dessert, and we appreciated the thoughtfulness. We always dine here when we are in Morgantown.
At its current price point, Bourbon Prime struggles to consistently deliver the upscale steakhouse experience it aims for. While it shows potential—especially with unique items like pepperoni rolls—the recurring issues around portion, temperature, and timing leave a gap between its promise and reality. For a truly elevated meal, diners may want to consider mid-week visits rather than holidays, or explore nearby competitors offering stronger consistency.
I have regular business meetings here, and our usual server is Mathias. He is always a pleasure to deal with and treats us like old friends. I'm always happy to see him when I walk in because I know our meeting will go well!
