The Jar Restaurant and Hot Spot

We had the displeasure of stopping at this establishment. We were from out of town and went based on reviews, we got there the the waitress was not pleasant , never got our fries for the burger , the mozzarella sticks had to be sent back cause they were cold in the middle and when this was all brought up at the time and again at the check out , the waitress said well I didn’t up charge you for the beer battered fries…. Yea we won’t be back I wouldn’t recommend to an enemy much less a friend. Oh and the bathrooms we gross 🤮

We grab food from The Jar here and there as we don't live far. I thought I'd leave a review because I just had their steak hoagie, just the way it comes and holy heck it was level 10... hands down the best steak hoagie I've had in a long time or ever!

We’ve been to The Jar a handful of times. We kept wanting it to be better. The food was decent, but it was very crowded and the service was terribly slow. Tonight, we called for three dozen take out wings. I was told there would be a 35 minute wait. I arrived after 35 minutes and was told it would be an additional 10 minutes. I waited the 10 minutes and was told I could pay. I asked if the wings were done, they went back in the kitchen to check again, and said it would still be a few minutes. At this point, I had been waiting over an hour since I called, so I left. Don’t run specials twice a week if you can’t keep up with the demand and don’t give inaccurate wait times to soften the blow.

The wings are spot on. Crispy and juicy with an array of sauces and dry rubs. The bottom of the jar and house honey rub are fantastic. Don't sleep on the burgers and hoagies!

The prices here are now outrageous after an ownership change. A burger that was $11 is now $15, and it doesn’t even come with fries or chips. You have to pay for that separately, and it’s $4, which is double the previous price. It’s the same food and the same portions as before, just marked up.The burgers and fries still taste great and the service was excellent. I just can’t afford to come back with these prices. A burger lunch for two should not cost $45.

Ordered 3 dozen wings today for pickup asked for them to be cooked crispy when we got home they weren't and two types were wrong won't be going back for awhile.
