“I am an out of towner but, I will say I was at the Walmart gas station and saw a fella he said his name was Jaxon Poe, never heard of him before but he heard multiple people taking about how good the pizza he makes is. And how much the town supports this young gun. The pizza I had was just truly outstanding thanks to this wonderful human being. Jaxon Poe you are my sunshine“

“I ordered takeout for the 2 days I was in town. To my surprise, they had gluten-free pizza and my huband had their philly cheese sub (and loved it!). The guy that answered the phone when I called in my order was knowledgeable and asked if it was an allergy, and I told him yes. I also ordered it without cheese, and without making me feel weird, he said Ok and within 20 mins, my pizza was done and delicious. I did order ranch on the side, and I think they homemade it because it was pretty watery looking but I tried it and it was delicious as well. I was really worried at first about ordering from here because it doesn't look super appealing but don't judge a book by its cover. This place is a must try! I will be visiting again next time I'm in town.

“This visit today was the second time I’ve ever been here at the Fort but it was the first time I had any of their food. We left before eating years ago but decided to give them another shot. Upon entering the establishment I was greeted not by the staff which looked sparse and too engaged in what they were doing to notice us, but instead by the smell of the pizza oven accompanied by a hazy smoke filled atmosphere that seemed to linger our entire visit. We chose a seat as far away from the kitchen as possible since that seemed to be the source for low visibility in the dining room that began to irritate my eyes. A young lady gathered menus for us and took our drink orders which she filled as she allotted us additional time to browse over the menu choices which seemed to be never ending. She arrived with our beverages and took our order. I asked about how long do you anticipate it will take to prepare our meals as we were trying to make the Ferry before it closed at 6 pm. She indicated she had a few call in orders that came in but since we were the only dine in patrons other than one lady in a corner booth that it shouldn’t be long at all. We sat and talked as we listened to the phone ring non-stop as delivery drivers shuffled in and out of the building and customers walked in and picked up their orders and departed. That short wait was well over an hour before she finally arrived with our order which was a Philly steak sandwich with a side of beer fries, a roast-beef sandwich and chips, a Caesar wrangler with chips and a calzone. She refilled our drinks as we began to eat and returned a few minutes later and asked if we needed anything. I requested mayonnaise and Italian dressing on the side when I ordered and requested it again. We also needed utensils to cut the calzone and spread the mayo on the Caesar. BBQ sauce was also requested for the Philly. She left and by the time she returned I had finished my Caesar and no longer needed the mayonnaise or Italian dressing. She did apologize for taking so long but added she had to make the BBQ sauce.( it was a blend of sweet and spicy ingredients, really good). We again asked for the utensils to cut the calzone and she quickly obliged. The food was delicious and served hot. My favorite was the Caesar Wrangler however they did oven bake the lettuce which it then had to be removed as it withered to a brown gelled slimy mess. The service was not at all what it should have been as it took about 2 hours and we had no shot of making the Ferry Ride. The hostess/waitress/cook /cashier was doing the best she could as she had just started a couple days ago even though she had worked there in the past. She was definitely over tasked in her duties and responsibilities which reflects poorly on management. There didn’t seem to be enough help or the duties need to be distributed differently. The smoke filled dining room also reflects poorly on management/owners. Nobody wants to eat in a smokey room for an hour or two let alone an employee forced to be in one for an entire shift. As a customer you don’t receive a bill brought to the table so you can verify the charges and calculate gratuity like most reputable establishments. Instead, you wait at the register as the cashier plugs in numbers for food items and arrives at a final verdict which the customer has no idea if the total is correct or flawed with errors. The customer then holds up the line as they decide on a tip amount as other customers stand in line and wait. We left the restaurant feeling sorry for our waitress/cook/cashier as we left her a large tip but looking on the bright side of things at least she didn’t have to answer the phone too.
Parking: Street parking is available however had to do a U-turn at the intersection as all the parking was on the other side of street.“
