“A group of us stopped by the bakery at Bridgeport. All of the cupcakes looked so amazing! Everyone loved the cupcake they chose and the icing was the best. Not too sweet. Would definitely stop by again if in the area!”

“What a pleasant surprise. Working nearby and stopped in for a couple of cold beers and a sandwich on a Friday afternoon. Franklin’s did not disappoint. Service was friendly and quick, food was delicious, and there were a couple of nice beer selections on tap. Nice local spot.”

“I wanted a sundae, but I pulled up too far, and I could not see the drive-thru menu in the blinding sun. I told the nice gentleman on the speaker what I was looking for, and he was quick to figure it out. I ordered the remaining items for the rest of my party, a burger, another sundae, and a Superman blizzard. I was in the drive-thru for maybe 5 minutes. It was amazingly fast! Both employees that I interacted with at the window were smiling, polite, and friendly. The employees went out of their way to make sure I was happy and that everything I ordered was to my liking. This was at a drive-thru, I am just blown away. If I want another sundae or anything from DQ I will go to this location. The staff are absolutely wonderful.”

“Came here last night with my mom for dinner. The amazing thing that happened was some nice guy paid for our food after my mom let him go in front of us in line! The two ladies working there were so nice as well!! Giving us options the other employees before them never gave us; like adding toppings before the sub gets into the toaster!

“It's McDonald's. You know exactly what you're getting. Use the app. Get points, save money. Sometimes, the food isn't under a heat lamp that long. Occasionally, the sometimes fresh coffee is hot enough to cause 3rd degree burns and the fries and actually fresh. If you're lucky.”

“We had a takeout meal and it was ready on time. We got the beef brisket, pulled pork, and a whole chicken which were excellent. Our side dishes of green beans, potato salad, and coleslaw were also delicious. The coleslaw had an interesting twist with a little spice in it. Their cornbread is also really good and a little bit different recipe we enjoyed.”

“My go to choice for Pho had been a Morgantown restaurant but I happened to be in Bridgeport so decided to give “Hello Vietnam” a try. I now have a new favorite Vietnamese cuisine restaurant! Hello Vietnam is located in a small strip mall just off downtown Bridgeport, WV. You order at the counter and the food is delivered to your table. There’s limited seating with about ten tables and around the same number of bar style seating. My friend and I shared a beef and meatball pho, Banh Mi sandwich and spring rolls. Serving sizes are moderate and prices are reasonable. The pho broth was rich and nourishing with tender beef and tasty meatballs. The sandwich was smallish but the bread was fresh and crusty. My favorite were the spring rolls. The vegetables were out of the garden fresh and best of all, the rice paper sheets were soft and tender. So often, these rolls are either hard or falling apart sticky wet. Definitely give this newish Bridgeport restaurant a try. You’ll be supporting a locally owned business too!”

“You can smell the waffle cones as soon as you walk through the door! There were so many flavors of ice cream, and they were clearly marked if they were gluten free or sugar free. Gluten free sugar cones are available. You can ask for ice cream samples before buying. This time I picked a gluten free cone with cotton candy ice cream. Can't wait to go back and try other flavors!”

I lived in Harrison County many years but also have lived in other parts of our State, currently Charleston. But, I always return home and make sure I pick up enough of the best pepperoni rolls and bread on the planet to tide me over til the next time!”

“Alas, a really spectacular meal can still be found in north central WV. For years, we celebrated our special occasions at the Wonder Bar, but recently it has quite simply not been what it once was. On the advice of friends, we decided to try Julio’s for our 10th anniversary. Despite not locating our reservation, they still made room to accommodate my wife and me. My Perfect Manhattan was crafted just right, the house salad dressing was superb, and our filets were absolutely fabulous. It was so refreshing to find that a great restaurant is still out there. For the past several occasions, I’d resorted to cooking at home figuring “why pay for a meal out when I can make better at home”. Julio’s gives me good reason not to cook and leave the task to their talented chef! Thank you for a wonderful experience!”

“We just moved to Bridgeport from Spokane, WA. Had seen Winnie's for a couple weeks and finally decided to try it. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had (and we like to go out for breakfast). I had the sausage, egg and cheese bagel and was worried that I was going to get all bun and not much else. The egg was freshly cooked, the sausage was the entire area of the bagel, the cheese was gooey but somehow the bagel was the best. Not sure if they are homemade (didn't ask) but the best bagel ever. My partner had the same but with bacon. There was a generous amount of yummy, very crispy bacon which was delicious. He also had a freshly made banana smoothy that was wonderful. All of this for less than $20. We are used to paying over $30 for two breakfast sandwiches. I can't wait to go there again.”

We got an amazing hot dog wrapped in bacon, fries, salads, bruschetta (best I have ever eaten anywhere), fried pickles, and drinks. Wanted icecream or dessert but ate so much couldn’t do it. The wait staff and cook were the nicest and most courteous ever! Just cannot say enough about this amazing place. BEST restaurant in the area.”
