We tracked down this little hole-in-the-wall coffee spot and it was absolutely worth it. The coffee was both aesthetic and delicious, and the scone I had was fantastic. Wish they had outdoor seating, but if you’re nearby and want a great specialty coffee, this is the place to go.

I’ve tried Hilltop several times and it’s hit or miss. Today discouraged me from coming back however when (didnt catch her name) red haired lady stopped making my order to count her cash tips from the jar, then immediately went back to making my food without washing her hands or using gloves. She grabbed the steaming pitcher straight from sanitizer water to steam the milk for my drink without rinsing it or letting it dry. Could definitely taste it in the drink. Wish I had confronted the situation in person but she didn’t have a pleasant demeanor.

Im not one to usually leave reviews unless its the worst experience, or an amazing experience, higher then most trips anywhere, and this coffee shop has to be one if not the best coffee shops ive been too. The sausage egg and cheese croissant was so delicious, and not dry!! Such high quality for a really good price! The frappe was the perfect blend of texture, sweetness and flavour. Along with the atmosphere. It was such a cozy comfortable atmosphere, and the shop is not over priced. Its actually a very reasonable priced shop especially for the quality of products they produced. Loved the food, loved the experience and so did my wife.

Was in 30 minutes before close and was told they had no coffee as all the machines were off for the night. I would suggest adjusting the hours to reflect this or turning off the machines at close.

Very pleasant, clean interior with a reasonable amount of seating. Staff was very friendly when I ordered.
The sandwich I got was well cooked but the cheese was unpleasantly bitey and I would've liked some more of the apricot jam in it.
The real disappointment was the matcha: I ordered it as a latte but even with copious milk it was hard to miss how oxidized it was. The color was more grey than green and it had a coppery taste. Didn't end up taking more than a few sips and gave it to the workers at the front so I wouldn't be throwing liquid in the trashcan. Thought it was maybe not the best service that they weren't curious why someone wouldn't even drink half their drink, but maybe they get a lot of people who don't like matcha as much as they think they will.
They have coffee, but they don’t know coffee. If you want a drink that resembles coffee, then this place is for you. If you prefer a good espresso , go elsewhere. I try to support local coffee shops unfortunately, I should’ve gone to Starbucks.

I went on 5-29-25 and there was a blonde girl working that was very rude. I’ve been a few times this year, so this was not the only interaction I’ve had with her, so I know it’s not a bad day. I’ve been coming to hilltop for years and always been really impressed with the quality of coffee, and the service. This girl told me that she couldn’t make my drink (frappee) Because they were closing soon and they closed the machines. It was 5 o’clock, so they still had about another hour before they closed. I’ve been a barista for years so I know that you don’t refuse people drinks just because you wanna get out of work early. Been really unimpressed with the service recently, really disappointing because hilltop‘s been my favorite place for years. Enough to make me not want to come back.
