We have dined here since our oldest son was 10 off and on. He’s now turning 20. Use to go when they had the buffet and had a few bad experiences so we didn’t go back until a couple years ago. We tried it again they completely redid the place no buffet and we had an amazing experience. Even take family there from out of state when they visit. Started taking our kids once a week or so. Always order the exact same thing. All of us. After yesterday (went on Mother’s Day). Last time dining in ever again. Servers are always horrible. You wait an hour for food. We Just order ham & cheese, 3 kids meals, a steak sub for our oldest and my husband gets the gyro wrap. Use to get the lamb chop special takes even longer so we stick with easy orders. Takes almost a HOUR still. You never see the waitress again until food is brought out. The last 4 times they bring out half the food. My husband, myself and 1 kid will get their meal and the other 3 sit and wait for 10+ minutes and we feel bad eating so we sit and wait. We also cannot get a check and leave. We learned quick if we are even close to done eating ask for the check and have the card read
Don’t ask then expect them to come back soon. Even then takes the waitress 15+ minutes to come back even flagging them down and clearly irritated. They’re never “busy” when we go weekly. Always around 8pm will be 2 other tables and us and somehow STILL the same experience. Food is great usually. They even forgot about us once and had to go to the bar bc we were seated in the back by the game slot room or whatever and say we had been ready to order for a long time, didn’t have straws already needed refills of soda. We’re not the type to complain at ALL. This has been MANY times now. We’ve dined here for years and was a staple once a week. we have sat and waited numerous times like this with no complaint. After these past few times it’s enough that they have GOT to make a change and care more about people coming in to eat than the regulars at only the bar area drinking. It should not take almost an hour for sandwiches and chicken tenders and then another half an hour trying to get the bill when you’re done. Most people would’ve just walked out they don’t even pay you any mind at all and we’ve heard tables close by us with family having the same issues that wanted to get up and leave before they even ordered food. There are NEVER more than 3-4 tables eating besides the bar regulars. You’d think they’re swamped full house on a Wednesday at 8pm. it’ll be dead in there trying to get a ham and cheese and your check within 90 minutes and out. Forget about a refill usually. Unless you’re at the bar. Great menu and spot but the service and wait time for food and check is a lot. Especially with kids. The entire reason we go at 7-8pm and even then it being slow you’ll wait a VERY long time. You literally can ask for the check when you get your food and won’t see the server again for half an hour.

Good variety of food...American, Italian, Lebanese, Mexican. The brunch will fill you up. Great place to eat and watch a game or have lunch with a friend.

Service took forever, was to the point where we were about to leave when the server finally came over to get out drink order. Food was lackluster, fries were cold, burger over cooked.
Server (bartender) spent more time in the back than taking care of customers.
Will not be back.

Had the Gyro and it was packed full of meat. The price, the taste and the service was excellent. We will be back again to try other menu items.

My husband and daughter went to this place business and they both waited for 20 mins to be seated. It wasn’t busy and when they did get seated it took forever for them to be waited on. So my husband and daughter left and we as a family have never went back there. Our money is green just like everyone else’s. If this is how you run a business I’m shocked you been in business for as long as you have.

Absolutely fantastic food. Great customer service. I would also like to thank George for supporting our local troops. He always answers and meets the needs to feed my wife’s soldiers. This place does not get the credit it deserves!
Good food. Serves Yuengling beer!

I recently visited George’s Place and ordered three honey wing platters, spending a little over $56 in total. Let me start by saying the food itself was excellent. The honey wings were flavorful, perfectly coated, and cooked just right — crispy on the outside and tender inside. The portion sizes were solid, and the quality absolutely reflected the price. The rest of the staff I interacted with were friendly, polite, and professional. From placing the order to pickup time, everything initially felt smooth and welcoming.
However, there was one interaction during pickup that left me uncomfortable.
After I had already paid and returned with my receipt to collect my food, an older associate with blonde hair approached me and told me she believed I had been undercharged. She stated that she overheard my order and thought I had asked for four wing platters instead of three. I calmly showed her my receipt and clarified that I had only ordered three, which was clearly documented on the receipt.
Even after that clarification, as I was walking out with my order, she physically felt the outside of my bag to confirm that there were only three platters inside. I understand that businesses need to verify orders and prevent mistakes — that is completely reasonable. However, the way this was handled felt unnecessary and uncomfortable, especially after I had already shown proof of what I paid for. It gave the impression of suspicion rather than simple verification, and that’s not a great feeling as a paying customer.
I want to be clear that this review is not about the restaurant as a whole. The food was genuinely great, and every other staff member I encountered was welcoming and professional. This is solely about how that particular situation was handled.
As someone who does secret shopping and documents customer service experiences, I do take note of interactions like this. I believe situations involving potential order discrepancies should be handled discreetly and respectfully, ideally before the customer has paid or in a way that doesn’t make them feel questioned after the fact. Professionalism and tone matter just as much as accuracy.
Overall, I would return because the food quality was strong and the majority of the experience was positive. I simply hope that this feedback reaches the right person and that future interactions are handled with a bit more discretion and courtesy.
