The staff were fine, everything is a little all over the place but no bother.

Other than that sitting there being hounded by flies for our food was awful, I don't expect much but cleanliness come on its not negotiable with food!

The food was god awful overcooked! Grainy dry liver, overcooked chicken you'd swear was shoe leather, and burnt just about everything.

We were in the area for a family trip and stopped for dinner. The service was great, and so was the food. We were struck by how nice everyone we encountered in town was. They stayed open late to serve our large group and treated us like gold. We returned Sunday morning for breakfast, and the service and food were again outstanding. This will now be our go to place to eat when we are in the area.

What a great no-frills find just in the middle of town. We were just passing through, but what a delight! You actually filled up our boys, so that in and of itself is amazing! Everything looked, smelled & tasted wonderful!

Floors are filthy, lots of flies. No excuse for either.

This place was genuinely terrible. I do not understand the reviews. We did get a kick out of the fact that we found my lunch down the street at the grocery store (see photos). I ordered haddock fillets, which most would assume was like in fish n chips, and got fish stick style meat patties. We then found the exact same thing at the grocery store down the street. Pretty obviously, they were getting it from the grocery store at $8 for four fish fillets and selling it to the consumer for $14 for two fillets. There were flies all over the restaurant and the ceiling was disgusting. We should have just gotten the stuff from the store and cooked ourselves.

The perfect mom & pop diner with delicious hotcakes & home fries. Stopped in for breakfast on our way out of town after hiking all weekend, glad we did!

I come through Petersburg a couple times a year on my motorcycle. Breakfast here is always a treat. Feels just like I’d imagine a small town authentic restaurant should feel like. Good food, nice people, good prices. Always enjoy hearing the old timers and locals talking about their experiences over breakfast.
