We ate there yesterday and it was awful.the green beans was more bacon than beans.the mashed potatoes was instant an not good.the fish was the cheapest grade of fish you can buy.nothing was good.we will never go back again.they my as well go out of business

The food on the buffet was fresh. Great homemade salads. Many options. Great service by Tessa. Hadn't been to a Shoney's in many years. Not at all what we remembered - so much better!
I ate on a senior day when the buffet is $9.99. I ordered ice water. When the check came, I asked the server why I was being charged $2.69 for a bottle of Dasani water. I told her I just wanted tap water, and she should have let me know their policy. It turns out the policy is that the water is only free when you pay the full buffet price. If you eat a discounted buffet, you have to pay for bottled water, but they won't tell you in advance. I won't go back.

My sister and I stopped here three weeks ago. I had misgivings before going in, as the outside was so messy and overgrown that we couldn't tell if the restaurant was even still in business. We went inside and there wasn't any soap in the restroom for the employees to wash their hands before going back to work. I had a really bad feeling about the cleanliness of the place and we left without even sitting down at a table. I have to give at least a one star rating in order to leave a review or I would give it a zero.
