Ortega's Taco Shop

I made my second visit to Ortega's yesterday and was just as delighted as the first visit! The food is delicious and the service is great. It has a great vibe and is immaculate in terms of how clean and nice the dining space is! I got carry out and I really, really appreciated seeing my food was wrapped in simple foil and chips in a brown paper bag. It's not always the easiest or cheapest way for a restaurant to use more eco-friendly methods so they deserve a shout out from someone who noticed and appreciates this effort! I had a 30+ minute drive afterwards with my carry out and my tostada was STILL crunchy when I got to my destination!! And also delicious 😊 I was so impressed! If you live in Charles Town or are just passing through like me do not miss a chance to stop in at Ortega's!

Amazing burritos and bowls ? it is 2 hrs from home, but I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!

WE LOVE ORTEGAS! They have the best quality food, and it’s always served fresh. Everyone is so nice and I come here way too frequently to admit(almost everyday) for their Baja fish tacos with extra limes!

I ordered the shrimp taco and loved it. The ingredients are fresh and the sauces are subtle and yet flavorful. Next time I’m in Charles Town, I will return here!

Atmosphere- 4 stars- love this location. Right on the main street in the little town of Charles Town WV (named after George Washington’s brother) located in the beautiful brick Washington Charles Hall building. This building is beautiful- looks like an old Colonial Statehouse. The restaurant has an opened/shared space with a cute little market called Bushel and a Peck. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Very clean dining area.

Service- 3 stars- counter service however they do bring the food to your table. Food came out fairly fast.

Food- 4 stars- I got the Chicken Quesadilla and we also got the Chicken Street Tacos. Both were made with fresh ingredients and chicken was cooked perfectly. Would highly recommend stopping here on your next visit to historic Charles Town West Virginia!!
