Such a fun restaurant. The owner i assume was pretty friendly and funny. The other staff was super sweet. The food was super good and obviously cooked to order on most things. And it wasn't overpriced either. I got the reuban and it was FAR better than Arby's Reuban. My partner got the biscuits and gravy and she said it was super good.

GREAT little Mom & Pop place!! VETERAN OWNED!!
I had the B&G's with a side of bacon & 2 eggs with several cups of coffee, and for dessert, I had the strawberry lemonade pie!! Took me back to my aunts house in my younger years!! Plus a lot of free laughter!! LOL. The owner is a nice, funny, & sharp witted guy!! Full of one-liners with full on southern hospitality!! The food was great!! Good size servings!! Fair prices as well!!
The place is very clean!! The bathroom is older but very clean! The service was great! Locals are all very friendly! Highly recommend a stop in if you are in the area!!

Stopped in for the first time with my granddad. I ordered three eggs over easy on a bed of hashbrowns. What I got were three undercooked eggs on a bed of nearly raw scalloped potatoes. We entered and sat down while the owner/waiter loudly conversed with the two other customers in the building. After about ten minutes, we finally got menus, and five minutes after that, asked what we wanted to drink. My granddad ordered coffee, I ordered a Coke. The coffee was okay, but my coke had a strange film on top.Over the course of our twenty minute stay, the owner/waiter made several loud and inappropriate remarks about the BLM movement, political affiliations, and told the same anecdote about a customer mowing their yard four or five times. In short, 1/10. Wouldn't recommend.Save your money and go somewhere else.

They were said to make the Al Burger made famous by Big Al and I was excited not to have to drive to Smithers. Big mistake, usually they have ham, salami, bologna, sauce etc, this miserable excuse for a sandwich had 2 pieces of meat, looked like fried bologna, barely any sauce, and no taste. Big Al is turning in his grave. The ones I make at home are better with hot sauce and BBQ sauce.

The downtowner has some darn good food. If your just passing through or lived here your whole life, you gotta try this restaurant. Now, the owner and his wife both work serving the customers and making the food, which is pretty cool. The man talks alot, so if you do stop here you'll be having plenty of good conversations. The lighting is nice, there's big curtains blocking the windows, so it gives a nice private feel. They close early so it's a breakfast, brunch, lunch kind of place. The bathroom is quite small and only fits 1 person at a time. It doesn't get alot of business, so when you stop in, be sure to leave a nice tip. They're kind folk, and serve some good hot food. Definitely try the hot dog an fries!
Parking: You gotta find a spot, an may have to walk half a block or so, but it's worth it!
