“My God, best food I've had in forever, I began looting the gift shop, the small candy bin of Mexican candies, me, my Aunt, and her family traveled for the chocolate festival and honestly this restaurant and lunch were an amazing highlight to the trip! Best food I've truly had in a long time. I got Javi's Burrito and it was insanely large, filling, amazing ingredients, nothing felt shorted, amazing fries as well! Truly the best restaurant I've personally had in my life potentially.Kid-friendliness: Kids would be ecstatic for the candy bin of Spanish candies, and possibly the gift shop! It has a couple traditional toys from Mexico, small handmade figures, frankly all amazing memorabilia! I bought 2 small wooden figures!”

“I’m from Pittsburgh but have gotten sent to Ripley, WV for a few weeks for work and was recommended this place by two locals. Four of us went there and were all impressed with the food and how spacious it is. We’ll definitely return before we have to head back to the Burgh.”

“The downtowner has some darn good food. If your just passing through or lived here your whole life, you gotta try this restaurant. Now, the owner and his wife both work serving the customers and making the food, which is pretty cool. The man talks alot, so if you do stop here you'll be having plenty of good conversations. The lighting is nice, there's big curtains blocking the windows, so it gives a nice private feel. They close early so it's a breakfast, brunch, lunch kind of place. The bathroom is quite small and only fits 1 person at a time. It doesn't get alot of business, so when you stop in, be sure to leave a nice tip. They're kind folk, and serve some good hot food. Definitely try the hot dog an fries!Parking: You gotta find a spot, an may have to walk half a block or so, but it's worth it!”

“I have personally never been here but I’m totally happy now cause Jenny was my hair stylist for years when she worked at fantastic sams she was the only one that done my hair and one day she was gone and I finally found where she works so with her working here I know this is a great salon and the others are probably just as awesome as Jenny is....so just knowing she works here I rate this place a 5 star so glad I found you Jenny you are great!!!”

“Go there at least once a month, great hotdogs with sauce and slaw also the pork BBQ sandwich is awesome and big ,order them as a special that comes with chips and a drink, they don't have fries”

“Parking: This restaurant is located on a one-way Street with limited parking. There is nowhere to park with a truck and trailer unless you find somewhere around the block or in the city parking lot a block over”

“This was our first time eating Chester's Chicken & we loved it! My husband got fried chicken livers & potato wedges, I got chicken strips & potato wedges. Very good food & their dipping sauces were good too.”

“The service here is the thing that prompts me to write this review. The lady who took our order was so friendly and kind, especially when it came to our young kids’ complicated order. Then, they made one minor error in said order and were so gracious and generous fixing it. They kept the dining room and drink area incredibly clean as well. Just awesome staff all around during our visit.”
