“I haven't been in the state since I was a wee lad. This was my old Man's favorite pizza when were out here.I have to start with criticism and end with the praise. My only complaint so far is that there are no prices on their menu hanging above the ordering counter. I get that it is likely a budgeting tactic, because they will hand you a printed menu in a diner style menu holder book that has prices at the counter, but this is a basic convenience to the customers that is being made difficult so they don't have to keep updating prices on the board up top.Keep in mind, this is my first visit in decades, so I can only comment on the pizza for now in regards to food quality.I'm a Jersey guy. We have a very diverse number of pizzarias out there and even a crazy guy who moved out of NJ who keeps returning there periodically to get water for his business from one specific public fresh water spring. I've had a diverse range of pizzas and the only experiences I ever hated were overly watery/oily pizzas and overly burnt pizzas.I walked into this place and it seems fine inside, plenty of space, even outdoor patio seating. There was a special being run which was 8.99 for a large (14") one topping pizza. I chose mushroom. It took nearly 30 minutes for it to finish baking, but dang was it worth the wait, in my opinion. Was not smothered in mushrooms obviously at this price point. I'm used to having to pay $12 to $15 for a large plain in Jersey for a comparison on pricing but the bills to maintain a location heavily affect price points of anything sold at any shop. So in my perspective, Gino's really priced the special to move some pies. I ate my entire 14" large mushroom pie all by myself. It really hit the spot! The dough was just thick enough, crisp outside on the right spots, properly chewy in the center, good ratio to cheese and sauce, and I didn't feel cheated on the placement of mushroom on the pie. Oh, and I didn't even have a drink with it until after I had finished it all off. I consumed that pie -it was so delicious!According to my Mom, I used to love the pizza back as a wee little one. And dang do I still agree. ?I hope I get the opportunity to try to rest of the menu (honestly there never is any telling with how life will end up anymore).“
