We ate at the casual dining area near the bar and brewery. The German food we had was excellent and the beer was as well.

The food was good. I had the wienerschnitzel with spaetzle. Be warned, there was something on the lemon that turns out to be an anchovy. Thank God i didn't eat that. Pricewise, it is on the highside at $32 for a pork wienerschnitzel. The rahmsauce that came with the schnitzel was too thin to be called a cream sauce. It tasted fine but was more like broth than cream sauce.

I am truly disappointed at where we chose to stay for our 3rd anniversary. The Royal Suite at the Bavarian Inn may have been, at one time, a luxurious and comfortable stay but has not been maintained to afford it more than two stars rating from me.Good news: The food in the restaurant was great, and our server (Autumn A) was very pleasant, courteous, and attentive. The food was hot, and coffee was fresh. (And I am not really a coffee fan but had 6 cups!) The scenery of the property and surrounding areas were picturesque, and the people genuinely nice and greeted you when every you walked by.Bad news: Our room, the Royal Suite, was bad. For our 3rd anniversary, we pre-ordered a wine and cheese package in which instead of being brought fresh to our room upon arrival, was instead dumped in the room at the available check in-time of 4pm (we did not arrive until 7pm.) Needless to say the wine was not chilled anymore plus the cheese plate had molded fruit on it! We called for another plate, and it came with different cheese that was a lot more staunch in odor and smelled up the room. The cleaning and maintenance staff needs to be fired... PERIOD! First. The tables were not cleaned as there were spots very visible that when wiped with a rag and water came right up. The shower was not cleaned at all and still had soap WITH HAIR from the last guest. The floor in the bathroom also had someone elses hair upon us just getting into the room. As far as the maintenance of the room... The bed was not on legs! The frame, box springs, and mattress were on the FLOOR. My wife has knee issues, and it was difficult to get in and out of a bed that was literally on the floor! The 2 chairs that were I. The room were bear up so badly they could not be sat in. The desk scraped my hand as I accidentally brushed past it because it was literally falling apart on the corners. Something that could easily be fixed with a quick trip to Home Depot was just simply neglected. The last to mention, even though there is more, is the beautiful windows overlooking the Potomac River had flies that were smashed on them and NOT WIPED OFF from the INSIDE! THIS IS JUST GROSS, FLAT OUT.To have ordered the Royal Suite and been given this as their 2nd best available room was ridiculous.Fair warning, this is NOT a 5 star, more like a 2 star. ⚠️

It feels like a college dining hall. Nothing about the restaurant feels remotely German or Bavarian. Bad 70s schlock music in the background. Waited over an hour for a luke-warm cheese burger and room-temp fries. Would have gotten a wiener schnitzel but assumed the just heat frozen ones so passed. I would give Bavarian Inn a strong miss.

Always a wonderful experience at the Bavarian Inn. Visited for an anniversary lunch. Server was friendly & efficient, atmosphere is always lovely and the food delicious.Parking: They have a large, sprawling paved parking lot. We have never had a problem having plenty of spaces to choose from.

The cuisine is perfection but the carpet and the decor in the main dining area is outdated and tacky

My husband and I went there for dinner and for spending the night on October 20, 2023. We had a delicious meal and a wonderful bottle of amarone wine. We decided to have the pheasant and a German dish. It was spectacular.

The food was delicious & so were the views. We sat as a large group in the back room. Service was great even though there were a lot of us - it was wonderful. I even liked the pretzel with crab & I've never liked crab before - that is success!!
