Bistro 112 is our go to place! It’s so easy to get a reservation online. The wine is spectacular, but the food is even better. Izzy is fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable about Wine and food. Ask for Izzy to be your server! You won’t be sorry!
Izzy is the best. Food was great too
Food and service is excellent!
The only addition I can think of is to have some music on the patio area maybe on the weekends, something low key.
We were visiting from DC and this was the best place we found hands down! Perhaps there are other places for dairy free pescatarians looking for brunch and cocktails but this was what we found and lived it so much we came twice! I love the staff's care for nature and the patrons had a awesome vibe too! The whole street is a vibe!
An excellent experience that you'll want to repeat. So many delicious options on the menu and everything is carefully crafted to be a delicious experience bite after bite. I loved the vegan and vegetarian options. The wait staff was very kind, attentive and warm. They know the menu and ingredients well. And what a menu. I had the brioche, vegan tagine and the chestnut mousse and each dish was delightful. I can't wait to come back for another meal.
The. Best. Meal.
Everything was well balanced and cooked to perfection. Service was attentive. I had the potato soup and the local pan fried trout. For dessert we had the chestnut mousse, and it was just perfect.
The only thing missing from this place, is my bed, because I want to live here.
Went to Bistro 112 for the first time last night; we were 7 adults 1 child! Cocktails and food was amazing and our server, Izzy, was the best we've ever had. It was a beautiful, relaxing evening and Izzy was great at referrals as to drinks and food. Most DEFINITELY will be back...Izzy we're coming for you! Highly recommend for brunch. French toast looks underwhelming BUT IT IS INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS. I order it every time. My boyfriend loves the farmers breakfast and so do I. It’s filling and very yummy. They switched bacon brands a few weeks back and it was terrible but they switched to a different brand and it’s perfectly seasoned again.
The seating is a little tight inside, but there are outside options with nice weather. It is a good spot in historic Shepherdstown. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious.
The staff made us feel welcome and took great care of us. We dined in a cozy historic restaurant in downtown Shepherdstown W.VA.. Try their delicious Escargot for an appetizer or lunch. I also recommend their BLT sandwich!!!

My wife and I came here on a date a little while ago in the later evening. The dining area downstairs felt a bit cramped. I am aware this tends to be somewhat typical for restaurants like this though. Our waitress was wonderful the whole time. She was attentive, friendly, professional, and very good at talking us into dessert.
For the food itself I ordered the trout with lump crab and my wife ordered the ahi tuna and we got the escargot as an appetizer. Overall we both thought the food was good. While it was good, we agreed that it wasn't anything all that special. My dish included jalapeno pepper slices on the fish. I was under the impression that the jalapeno would be blended into the sauce they included. The slices of jalapeno very much overpowered the subtle flavors of the fish and aioli. Even putting the peppers aside, the dish felt flat. For a restaurant like this I was expecting the flavors to pop. The escargot was served nicely though I was expecting them to still have shells. The pistachio butter was very nice with the bread. The escargot itself wasn't as flavorful as I've had it elsewhere.
The lemon cheesecake we had for dessert was phenomenal. It was by far the greatest part of our dinner.
Overall our dining experience was average. Disappointing for a restaurant like this and the prices they charge. I really wanted to love this place.
The French Dip and Fries are amazing my favorite thing to grab there other than fish and chips. Be sure to enjoy the garden seating outdoors it’s a hidden gem
Wonderful service, lovely ambiance, delicious meals. We will definitely visit again!
I would love to give 5 stars, as Bistro 112 generally has everything you would expect from a good, small town upscale restaurant. The atmosphere is just lovely. The paint colors are warm and inviting, the artwork is pretty and fits the theme of the restaurant, linens are very nice, including the drapery divider in their upper floor dining room. Staff are friendly, polite, and professional, providing just the right amount of attention to guests. One can easily converse with table mates, as thankfully there is no loud music making it difficult to hear one another. Such a genuinely pleasant experience. Last fall, my son and I had brunch and it was exquisite. I can’t recall exactly what we ordered, but we both left with a good feeling of contentment. We both decided to go back for dinner with another family member recently. Two out of three of us were disappointed with our choices. My son had the vegetarian curry and I had the mushroom asparagus tart. The vegetarian curry was mushy and the flavor was unrecognizable and unremarkable. The curry would have been greatly improved if it were served with jasmine rice rather than riced cauliflower. I am sorry to say it was way overpriced at $28. I ordered the whole mushroom asparagus tartlet, which was vegan. Unfortunately, without the butter, the pastry was hard and virtually tasteless. In place of butter, a good extra virgin olive oil would have given it some depth. Instead it was stiff and dry. The mushroom and asparagus combination was very nice and flavorful. The tart was surrounded by a cashew sauce which added to the presentation but not to the taste. The tart was served as an entree but would be better described as an appetizer. Finally, my Brussels sprouts were surprisingly burned to a crisp and not recognizable as Brussels sprouts. The leaves seemed to have all been removed from the sprouts, and were over salted and oily. I should have sent them back, but at the time it didn’t occur to me to do so. I imagine it’s not a priority to have vegan or vegetarian options in a French Bistro, and appreciated the effort. However, it seems that perhaps offering a large beet salad with fennel, goat cheese, and walnuts, or a stuffed portobello mushroom, would be an improvement over the current vegetarian options. Highly recommend the brunch and definitely will be returning again to experience the very charming atmosphere of Bistro 112 in Shepherdstown.
We enjoyed our experience at Bistro 112 so much! The food was delicious and came out perfectly timed. We ordered drinks, the small bread basket, salads, the salmon, and steak frites. Everything was classic but with a unique twist that we appreciated. Our service was amazing too. We’ll be back and highly recommend it to others!
