I stopped by on a Monday (when it seemsLike there is no place to eat!) and ordered a curry chicken salad sandwich to go.I have had a smoothly here before and enjoyed that.Service was great (and speedy) and I enjoyed my chicken salad sandwich, which comes on toast with lettuce on the sandwich and potato chips on the side. Flavor was great. Texture- with celery and green onions was yummy.Will definitely stop by again and maybe eat-in. Yum!

My friend and I went to MJ’s with our two toddlers on the weekend, the service was amazing, and the cardinal breakfast sandwich was the perfect mix or sweet and savoury.The owner I’m assuming even cut up my friends bagel into bite size pieces so we could share with the toddlers.Our server was cheerful and helpful and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. :)

Like most of the places in Shepherdstown, it's a bit much for a sandwich, but it feels the most worth it here because the quality is very high, they feel artisanal and creative, plus the ingredients seem high quality. If you're in Shepherdstown and craving a good sandwich, this is my pick. Plus the inside is by far the most spacious, so you don't have to worry about seating; there's even more tables in the back.

i am angry. the food is great. and the chef is great. and it is a cool spot. but i live over 3 hours away. that's my review. i could eat the morty every day, can't wait to come back.
One of the best small town gems in Shepherdstown. Jordan brings his fine dining skills to this labor of love. The breakfast is worth taking the extra time to sit and enjoy the meal.

While shopping today in Shepherdstown I stopped into MJ's for a sandwich. What a delightful experience! I ordered the Smoked Salmon BLT and a cup of coffee. The coffee was hot and satisfying, The sandwich was amazing. Crispy bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato, a very tasty creamy dill dressing, and capers! All on lightly toasted rye sourdough bread. The staff was very nice and helpful, all areas were clean and welcoming. I will definitely return again and recommend MJ's to my family and friends.

Food was like something your mom would make for you-- not overdone like restaurants typically are with their food, just simple and delicious. Fresh ingredients! I got the cardinal sandwich and my friend got the muesli. I'm actually still sitting in MJ's as I type this. Highly recommend!
