Undoubtedly one of the most delicious experiences we’ve ever enjoyed. Atmosphere, service, and quality is presented in a perfect way. Worth the trip, no matter how far your journey.

Great experience. Celebrated our 33rd anniversary with a delicious dinner here. We had a great server. Beautifully plated food. Delicious and filling. Nice atmosphere too.

Stumbled upon this gem in Shepherdstown the other day, the dining area was busy on a Saturday evening which is to expected, however the bar area is full service and is first come first serve and a group had just cleared out as I was walking by. Must have been divine intervention by the foodie gods!
I was welcomed by the bartender who I believe was named Susie, she was very welcoming and attentive to all of her customers' needs the entire duration of my visit. I ordered the 16oz Ribeye special(I was hungry) and paired it with the red wine pictured in this post. Wonderful pairing, with the steak that I ordered medium rare and came out cooked to perfection.
Amazingly, I still had room for dessert and the lavender creme brulee (also pictured) was a great finish to the meal. Compliments to the chef! Also, the pricing was very reasonable for the amazing fine dining experience that is provided here. I highly recommend The Press Room for a solo food adventure or for a date night!

Came here for dessert only for my birthday. Bartender got the whole bar to sing me happy birthday. Fantastic creme brulee, great guests, great service.

Excellent menu, service, and ambiance. Comparable to our urban dining experiences. The oyster stew, duck breast, and lavender crème brûlée were standouts for me. We’ve been here a couple times and would love to go again.

Hi! We enjoyed staying! Thank you for having us! You guys are awesome! And I wish you guys have a wonderful day! ?
Atmosphere is cozy and quaint. The mussels and roasted beet salad were fantastic. Service was solid. Great spot for a date night, or evening out with friends!

The press room is a beautiful restaurant, with excellent decor and staff. It comes off elegant with all of the candles and cloth napkins.
Atmosphere and service aside the food was incredibly lackluster especially for the price you pay. I would honestly rather drive all the way to Frederick for better tasting food.
I ended up getting an alfredo pasta dish with berries I would have gone with the chicken variant but they were out. They didn't do anything unique with the fruit, they essentially just grabbed a handful of blueberries raspberries add blackberries and tossed them on top of the noodles. It was ok
My partner ended up getting the swordfish, it came out relatively cold. The fish had wonderful looking sear marks but it was over salted. It was pretty good would recommend
The oyster appetizer was delicious.

Been here 2 times for work lunches and it might be one of my favorite spots. I'm upset I didn't find them sooner. Oysters have been amazing both times (they have this vinegar with picked onions that you drizzle on top paired with horseradish and ooooh my lord!) I haven't had anything I haven't liked yet.

Literally one of the most horrible restaurant experiences I’ve had in my life. Racist and server and mediocre meals. Can’t wait to blast this place for its poor hospitality everywhere I can. Never in my life have I entered an establishment with the same atmosphere as a Trump rally. I’m not surprised but it certainly isn’t worth the cost.
We stopped in for an early dinner at the bar. Susie was very friendly and informative.
After a quick bite, we had a delicious panna cotta and espresso martinis.
