My wife had some excellent pasta ( fancy Mac n cheese with mushrooms) but was super tasty. My steak was good, but I could’ve done just as well or better at home. The drinks were meh. Maybe I’m a snob, but if I’m paying $18 for an old fashioned, I expect a luxardo cherry not a fake maraschino guy. Overall, not worth the price paid

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted as though we were expected guests—and the evening only got better from there. Our server was both gracious and elegant, setting the perfect tone for the night. The calamari and peach appetizers were unique and absolutely delicious, and every entrée was sensational. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was perfectly timed throughout. We truly could not have had a more lovely evening. Thank you!

Food was excellent! Service was prompt, though our waiter wasn't quite as friendly as I would have expected, he made good suggestions and took care of us. Very good overall.

The oysters were the evening’s sole redemption—fresh, briny, and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the lobster and crab pasta special was a profound disappointment: bland, uninspired, and, regrettably, left me feeling unwell afterward.

Yet the most distasteful aspect of the night was not the food, but the service. From the outset, our party—diverse in both age and race—was met with an air of unwelcome. Our waiter’s demeanor was curt, his manner brisk to the point of rudeness, and the pacing of the meal felt less like hospitality and more like eviction. As one member of our group prepared to pay, the waiter conferred with the manager, who then descended upon our table, clearing plates before we had even finished our goodbyes.

Whether this treatment was rooted in prejudice or simple disregard for younger patrons, I cannot say with certainty. What I can say is that it was humiliating, inhospitable, and entirely at odds with the setting this restaurant purports to offer.

An amazing anniversary dinner location. Quiet, personable staff, and delicious food.

We made reservations ahead of time (highly recommend and must call). Our server was Shelley and she was very friendly and on top of our needs. Ordered the Balsamic grilled salmon which was absolutely delicious 😋. Order the Lavender creme brulee!!!

Came in tonight between movies at a film festival going on at Shepherd. Bartender was 100% spot on- killer service. Not pretentious at all, but certainly knew her stuff. Food was on point. Fresh oysters. Perfectly cooked steak. Bomb red wines by the glass. Couldn’t ask for more. If only my neck of the WV woods had this place… (well then I’d be broke). 10 out of 10. Don’t think twice- just eat here.

Been regular patrons to the Press Room for years now. Probably the most consistently good menu out of all the restaurants we dine at. Wait staff is kind and friendly. Only thing we would like to see differently is for us to be able to finish our salads before dinner arrives. This has happened multiple times in previous visits. Patience is a virtue 🙏🏻

This place is such an absolute gem. There is plenty of onstreet parking located out front. I recommend making reservations to be safe, doing so will ensure you get the best seating in the house! The prices are impossible to beat. Where else can you get a massive steak for $26? The flavors are incredible and the menu is so simply yet so creative. The whole experience was great and we both enjoyed our plates! Will definitely come back
