They're fully booked on a Saturday evening, but we're able to sit at the bar. Curried pumpkin soup and braised pot roast were extremely delicious. I found the caesar dressing a little weak but not bad.Overall, it was a pleasant experience!

Bouncer seems very concerned with self esteem. He let us in and then proceed to kick us out. Was interesting for an establishment looking for business. Wound reccomend any other place in Portsmouth over this place.
The veal we ordered was at least an inch thick. It cut and tasted like a pork chop. I am wondering..as I never have seen a stuffed veal chop that big.The duck breast was dry and sliced too thick. It tasted bland.To top this off, the Creme brulée with Lavender was torched too much, tasting burnt, and creating a temperature imbalance of the custard. There was no lavender taste.I am sorry to share this unpleasant review. Our past visit with friends to the Press Room was way better than today's.

Food was good. Service was splendid. Lovely atmosphere. Well appointed dining room. The special was Rib Eye Steak w roasted potatoes and green beans. The steak was delicious although I would have enjoyed a few more potato bits. My husband enjoyed his pate but was surprised it was cold as he'd never had it served cold before. Jenny's Brownie was yummy.

Super organized little restaurant with helpful and friendly staff. The food and atmosphere are excellent, and the offerings are unique and well executed. Glad we planned part of our evening around dining here, it was definitely worth it. Would suggest making a reservation.

We were in town for a romantic weekend and googled oysters near me. I am so happy we found this gem. The service was outstanding, the oysters were top notch. The bluefish and lingonberry spread was wow!!!! The Moscow mule was great, and we were able to reminisce our trip to Italy with the Aperol spritz’s. We hope to come back and have a proper meal not just apps.

Tonight was my wife and my first time at the Press Room. We were celebrating our anniversary. This was one of the best meals that I have ever had. We both enjoyed everything so much. Great job, Press Room! Our home is an hour's drive away, but we will be back!
