I received a coupon in the mail for a free appetizer with an entree purchase. Camden our waitress was warm friendly ensured we read the fine print on the coupon to prevent any surprises later. She was a great server shared some of the history of the place answered all our questions very attentive.
The place was clean had a quiet atmosphere and good menu. We had the chicken nachos for the appetizer, that could have been a meal by itself, the cheese sauce seemed to be homemade. My wife ordered the Chesapeake chicken with baked potato and crispy brussels sprouts; I got the shrimp Po’boy and upgraded to onion rings. The chicken was a nice portion, and the Po’boy was a legit 12-inch sandwich. My wife only sampled a little of the chick and sprouts and I had two bites of the sandwich and some of the onion rings because we filled up on the nachos. I know it is in a converted hotel but worth the trip I consider it hidden reward and worth the trip, I live in Maryland and will going back for another meal.

Ordered carry out, hot wings and a grilled chicken salad. Food was ready promptly and both were really good.

Little disappointed in the quality of the food.. food was a little pricey for the quality and portion... i don't mind paying for good food but mine was dry and my husband's steak was extremely salty. We got they'll brussels sprouts, as an appetizer, and they were very oily.. also got drinks from the bar first one was very good and second drink being the same was not as good. So consistency it's definitely an issue.

Smashburger was the best burger I have had. Cooked perfectly, seasoning and how they did the cheese was mouth watering. Instead of fries I did the crispy Brussels which were crisped to perfection. Highly recommend.

We had the bacon deviled eggs as a starter and hamburgers with baked potatoes as the sides.
The restaurant is nicely chilled with AC.
The food was quite tasty, and the server kept drinks refilled. Brought out extra napkins without being prompted - always appreciated.
Yes, the tavern is hidden off the main road, but it's worth looking for it.

Prices higher than expected. Pretzel appetizer was not done. Dip for French dip tasted funny. Disappointed they don't have the spinach dip.

Cajun pasta (shrimp) was awesome. Little salad was refreshing. Great service. Quiet on a Sunday night.
