i forgot my ID at home and was going to leave on my own because i realized my mistake, but the bartender randomly told me that i look 12 years old and needed to get out ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ i was going to leave anyway, but now i'm just sad. kevin and lynn are great, though. they're always super kind and helpful. definitely try to catch them on duty if you're gonna come here. i don't know who the person running the bar last night was, but they need to re-evaluate their words before they insult peoples' appearances unwarranted.

What a great find, we were looking for a place to stay. Asked the staff (George), we got the whole 1st floor! Amazing 18th century appartment! The pub was really nice and authentic, with live music and a beautifull garden. Very cosy! Last but not least very nice beers, what could you want more?

Stopped in with a friend for a drink. We were told to go outback to the garden. Oh wow!!! It did not disappoint!!! What a great little find. Definitely stop by if you are in the area.

Stopped in for grub and a drink after visiting Antietam. The burgers were fabulous, best so far on this trip, and tasty chssy fries. No beers alas as I was driving, but I would definitely go there again if I was in the area

Food & drinks: Great place for a burger and a beer. Limited lunch menu but a full bar. The burger was real charcoal broiled very tasty!I I came in for lunch, I'll have to visit at night when they have live music. Worth coming back, for sure.

Local hang out frequented by lots of usual suspects who love to strike up friendly conversation with visitors. Best burgers in town. Super juicy. Also vegan options. Get there early. Kitchen closes at 8 sharp. Good selection of local and other brews on tap. The usual cans and bottles, ice cold in the cooler. The Mecklenburg Inn is a big supporter of local musicians. Open mic night is on Thursday. It’s free. Bring your 6 string. Folks come in to get their feet wet playing in front of others. Local bands most Saturday nights with a small cash cover. Amazing outside garden out back. Lots of old hard-scape, mature trees and places to sit from the nicely laid out tables to the swing.Darts in the back room and every once in a while, shuffleboard. The game of the day is usually on the screen above the bar.Definitely put it on the list if you are stopping by Shepherdstown. George the owner, Lynn, Kevin, Audra. They will all take very good care of you.
