Stopped here with my band travelling from MA. Great coffee, and breakfast plates. Absolutely love the atmosphere. But most importantly I really appreciate the cause behind Cafe Appalachia. Beautiful ladies slinging awesome coffee, what else do you need in life?

We searched for a local restaurant for breakfast in the Charleston, WV area before we headed to Ohio. This place is a hidden gem. An old church that was transformed to a fabulous eatery. They have their own garden to provide fresh ingredients. You can sit outside in their garden area, (See pics) or sit inside. We ordered an omelet, homemade sausage (excellent), and strawberry parfait. The food was prepared with love and kindness, which made it absolutely delicious! They are a non profit business that supports a woman's recovery home. Go to their website to read their mission. They are only open until 2pm. Make sure to stop by when you are in the area. We loved it!!

Friendly staff, beautiful building and garden. I have to knock a couple points off the food though. The menu is tiny and the portions aren't much bigger. Too bad, the quiche was tasty but won't fill your belly. Expensive, too.

Had a waffle and egg sandwich both for decent single serving portions. Appears to be a great place in general.

The coffee here is worse than horrendous. The staff didn't have a care in the world. Would not recommend.
