We were seated promptly but after that the service turned from bad to worse. The server did not know the menu. We had a to go order and it was brought out before any appetizers, One appetizer was brought out and the rest of the food and the rest of the appetizers were brought out at the same time. I order a steak medium well and it was raw. We did not get any refills. Had to ask for straws twice. The hostess is the one we could get to come to the table and he made sure my steak was right. I believe this store has poor management and appears to understaffed. And the server stated that it happens all the time with the steak not being cook properly. I will not eat at this Applebees again.

My husband and I both ordered drinks, boneless wings and burgers. My husband enjoyed his burger but mine was burnt. It was crispy to the point the cheese was hard and brown. Service was just okay, the gentleman seemed to be new so some hiccups are to be expected. Overall I would suggest spending your money at locally owned and ran establishments in the area. We are from out of town but visit often. I doubt we would give this location another shot.

After a day on Summersville Lake , great place to relax , hot meal before drive home. Grilled Chicken sandwich and fries were on par.

This last visit was when the restaurant was unusually busy. Per the norm, it was understaffed, so everything (drinks, food, etc) was slower than usual, but that was to be expected. The food (Fiesta Lime Chicken and Chicken Tender Platter) was good, but it was already cool by the time it was delivered to our table. What was truly agitating was that I was overcharged by about $1.50, and when I tried to pay using the app, this store was incapable of accepting payments that way.
Can’t cook at all asked for a meddium rare steak it came out as a under cooked rare had it sent back then it came out as a well done 2/10 would not recommended

Raw meat when ordering well done. 4 cheese pasta was so sweet . Someone must have mistaken the salt shaker for sugar shaker. Waiter didn't write things down and when we confronted he went DUH HHH!Unacceptable. Never again. Turns us off to attend any Applebee's period. Get better Applebee's!

Where to start on our visit last night!Our server was horrible. She took my husband's order and then walked away. We had to call her back so that I could order. She brought my husband's meal first and I waited 10 minutes for mine. Then we waited again to receive cutlery. Everytime we asked for something it took 3 requests to get it and even then I didn't get something I wanted with my meal. The table beside us was having the same problem.The person working the bar had no idea what she was doing. If staff are new someone should be there to help them.The staff had taken over a table in the bar area full of their personal belongings thrown over the table, cell phones plugged in everywhere and one staff member was actually sitting there eating food from Wendy's!Not sure if there was a manager there but it was poorly run. Fortunately we were passing through because I would never go there again.

I ordered for take out the grilled chicken Caesar salad which states that it’s romaine lettuce with shaved Parmesan and creamy garlic dressing. I got limp iceberg lettuce a few croutons no cheese no dressing. The only good thing about the salad was the chicken. Not happy.
Garlic parmesan wings they were awesome. 50 cent wings. I ordered 20 ate about 10 brought rest of them home to my dog he likes them too

It has been almost 2yrs since we have been to Summersville Applebee's. We stopped going due to horrible service. Well my husband wanted a steak. I'm so glad we decided to give Applebee's one more chance. The food was good. The beer cold and the atmosphere just generally had a good vibe. Our server Kelly was so good, and it seemed like she was covering tables all through out the restaurant. You could tell they must have been short staffed but she took great care of us.

Stopped in for a steak dinner while in the area for work. Service seemed slow despite having from what I counted 5 wait staff. Two people were waiting in the whole restaurant (6 people). I sat at the bar, food came out fast, tasty and exactly what I asked for. Wouldn’t have an issue eating here again.

Getting old about how slow they are, came in, a waitress seen us and didn't even have the initiative to get someone to seat us, all she did was get up from a table while talking, then started cleaning tables instead of letting someone know that there were people standing to be seated, they weren't even busy, yet it still took too long to get seated. I like the food for the most part, but the work ethic is seriously lacking. Shouldn't have to wait to get seated when there's only four tables in the whole place with customers.
