Just wasted 34.00! Horrible food. And the waitress was beyond rude! My mom ordered double noodle instead of veggies and she got a small handful of noodles. I asked about a sauce that came on a sushi roll like what it was. The waitress said “ it’s not spicy” I said ok but what kind of sauce is it. She said “ I don’t know” I said ok can I get spicy Mayo in it instead. She said “ no! We will put sauce on the side!” My daughter wouldn’t even eat her food and Japanese...read full review

Ichiban | Japanese Steakhouse is a small, clean restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Despite its compact size, it can accommodate a full dining room and still manage carryout orders. The service may be slow during busy periods, but the food makes up for it. The menu offers a variety of options, including bento boxes featuring large portions of shrimp and chicken, as well as sushi rolls made fresh. The restaurant's hibachi chicken meal is also a hit with kids. Prices are reasonable, with most meals costing around $20 per person. The restaurant has a nice low key atmosphere, and the food is considered to be slightly better than what might be expected in a small town without an ethnic Asian community. Many customers appreciate the large, atypically generous portions, which can be bland at times, and note that it has a Japanese but with Chinese overtones. There is no sit-down hibachi area, and service can sometimes seem less enthusiastic, but the overall experience is positive due to the good food, reasonable prices, and relaxed environment. Popular dishes like the West Virginia roll and the east meets west roll are highly recommended, as they are cooked and considered delicious. Ichiban remains a favorite for many, especially for special occasions like birthdays.
