This restaurant has really gone down hill. We tried it one last time today with disappointment. The food is pretty bland and there wasn't much of a variety for the picky kids. We had to order fries so our toddler would have something easy to eat. Sweet tea was ok but extremely sweet. We are here back in August with kids and our waitress talked to us about stuff that really shouldn't be talked about around kids. Service was good today. She refilled our drinks and checked on us as needed. I really wish they had silverware small enough to use. It was really hard, especially with a kid to eat without a spoon and using a humongous fork. This will be the last time for us, unfortunately. We use to love shoneys :(

We ate here today. It was really sad because this has been a family favorite. We arrived at the lunch buffet. There is no longer a full menu in case you want to order a sandwich. They have maybe 4, or 5 sandwiches to choose from a limited menu. The first two plates I took were dirty, so I just used a salad plate. The meats were “mysterious.” It was not appealing. For example the green olives on the salad bar were floating in crouton juice that looked looks it had been there for a few weeks. Same with other items. The bathroom didn’t have hand soap or paper towels!!! Staff were all very friendly and we had great service, but the quality and cleanliness of the buffet left much to be desired. Maybe the breakfast buffet is better? Over $3.00 for a drink, and our bill for 3 people was $45. You just expect more when you pay for a salad bar.

It was ok but didn't have a standard menu. (Perhaps privately owned? ) there were 5 different sandwiches and a salad/dessert bar. I did the salad bar- pretty much standard fare - soups, salad fixings, some meats and veggies. Our server was nice . They seemed a little understaffed as we got there just before lunch and the servers were bussing their own tables. Not bad, not great.

Above average buffet. Visited on Saturday. Pretty exciting that every day of the week is a different theme of food. Lower than average amount of food variety in a given day, but if you're visiting on a day where the theme is appealing, you'll be happy.

Honestly I loved going to shoney's when I was a kid so I decided to stop in and try it out. The people were very friendly and it was clean, but the buffet food was on par with a chow hall in the Marine Corps.

Food on the hot bar/ buffet was cold and old. Everything was bland. Not much to choose from for the prices you pay. No menus were given so you are almost forced to get the buffet. While there someone tried to steal my husband's phone off our table. When the waitress and manager were told, they both just laughed and said "That sounds like something he would do." Which is very disconcerting, that to me means he has done something like that before! The decor is very outdated! The tables are badly scratched and cut. They have a store where you can buy clothing and travel items in up front all of which have NOTHING to do with Shoneys.

Food was cold and disgusting!! It looked like 95% of the buffet
(what was on it, 1/2 of it was empty) had been sitting there all day. Not impressed for 20.00 a person. There was more food on the buffet that was unedable then edible. Salmon smelled rotten, chicken was hard and dry, ribs were dry.

We were told they had no menu or food except the salad bar. The salad bar food looked uninviting.

Where to begin? We were seated quickly, that was the only good thing about the experience. There was only one other occupied table. Our waitress asked what we would like to drink. She gave us 4 soda options or iced tea. We both opted for the tea. We asked to see a menu. She said they dont have a menu, that they have 4 sandwiches or the buffet. One of the sandwiches was a beef jerky sandwich lol. Anyway...we both got the buffet. Walking up to the buffet...our feet were sticking to a floor that probably hadn't been mopped in a long time. There were patches all over the seats and it hadn't been updated since the eighties. The buffet had a variety of dried up meat and sides that had probably been on the buffet for days. Reluctantly put a few things on our plates and headed to our table via the sticky grungy floor. Heres where the real fun began. I tried to pull apart a piece of fried chicken with no luck. The mashed potatoes were instant and reminded me of paste. The beef I grabbed was grey looking. I pushed the plate away and didn't touch anything else. My man...with the iron stomach...tried to eat some fish looking stuff that was not cooked the whole way, chicken that was not cooked the whole way and a few other things that were under cooked or was so dry and nasty you couldn't eat it. The only thing that appeared to be cooked was the small ribcage/ carcus that appeared inside some kind of a chicken patty. Mouse/chipmunk lol. Not really sure. Anyway I asked for the price of the buffet to be removed because the food was not edible. No argument at all from the waitress...I think she refunds 90% of the people that come in there. We avoided food poisoning or worse by not eating and headed to an ihop up the road. I can't believe a restaurant would even try to serve this crap to anyone. After we left there I looked at some of the reviews and I see this has been an ongoing thing for a while. This restaurant needs to be closed down by the health department or the center for disease control. Save yourself and go anywhere but here. It doesn't even deserve one star.

To start, the entire staff made us wait while customers were jamming into the restaurant and other people waited to pay for their food. When the waitress did come to us, she took us all as one large group and announced there were no booths available. There were several that were empty for one or two people. My boyfriend and I took a big booth when she said that one was available, after stating loudly to all of us that none were available. We got no menus to know what the drinks were and other food they served. There were no spoons wrapped with the other utensils that were given to customers, no bowls nor spoons available near the soup nor near the ice cream. I had to find an employee to ask for a bowl for soup, and asked the waitress for a dpoon. The buffet is not big at all. It has only one island you go to get food, a counter with soup and a couple of desserts, and a deep freezer with ice cream. Half lunch and half breakfast at lunchtime. There was a ton of staff behind the wall, but no one was keeping up on the food that was being taken off of the buffet. Some of the food looked like it had been sitting for some time and needed to be tossed out. There were no small packets of butter, just a container of it on the buffet that you had to scoop out what you wanted, taking up another place that could have been used for more food. The music, early to mid 1990's county music, was way too loud. We only saw the waitress four times: first to get our order, second to see if we needed a refill on drinks and I asked for a spoon, when she brought the spoon and then to bring our bill. It took a while for us to get checked out, too. I'm not sure how they could get behind with so many employees, but there was only one pie available for purchase near the register. The restaurant looked like it had not been updated since that 90's, too. We were very disappointed in what should have been a tasty buffet.
