Loaded Baked Potato Bar, pulled pork, chicken and salad. But the folks raved about the ribs and cookies!!! Again, thank you!”

When I run with my friend in the evenings, the smell of the food makes me want stop running and grab a taco instead. I always throw a quick wave at the staff as I run past, and they always wave back with big smiles! “If there were more stars than 5 to give, I would give 6! We’ve seasonally visited this establishment over the past 25 years and never have been disappointed. We arrived on a snowy morning when staff members couldn’t make it in, but were greeted warmly and accomodated. Ambiance was wonderful, they were still playing Christmas music instead of rushing to the next holiday. We were given special treatment for braving the snow. Prices are very reasonable and the food was delicious. Well worth the trip, even in snowy weather.”

Not crowded. Views are gorgeous, and you can eat outside or in.
Order at window, they bring it to you when done.

“I’ve been there a number of times, and it’s always solid. Their wings are cooked so well… juiciest freshest wings I’ve had. Tonight was Steak Night and you can’t beat $11 for a steak, potato, and salad. The staff are friendly and attentive. Food came out surprisingly fast. I don’t go here as often as I should!”

“We dined at El Zocalo this past Wednesday for a birthday celebration. Other than the birthday boy couldn’t get a beer with his meal (they are under new management and waiting on licensing), everything was FANTASTIC from start to finish! Our server was super attentive and offered many suggestions for our appetizers. The food was OUTSTANDING and the portions are enormous!! They have a huge menu with literally something for everyone, including burgers for those whom don’t care for Mexican fare. Give them a try! It is soo worth it!”

“The food is awesome. The service is good 75% of the time. If it’s crowded, it’s rather slow service. We ate there late Saturday afternoon. I was so disappointed because someone was smoking in there. Not smoke free.. 3 signs say “ No smoking or vaping” I don’t like eating with smokers smoking!”

“Had a session booked for the business right next store so I placed a pick up order to pick up on my way out. I was not expecting even the smallest subs to be so big! Definitely worth the money for the size alone, and everything tasted so good! I ended up ordering a 16” chicken club and let’s just say I’ll be trying to finish it for the rest of the day because there’s so much! I plan to order again when I’m up that in a few weeks! Definitely recommend if you just so happen to make the trip to wheeling. I’ll be dreaming about this sub til my next venture up there and want to try one of the fry bowls next! Just being over at the portrait studio all we could smell was all the yummy food being made next door and when we told the girls there we were picking up an order from here afterwards even they expressed how amazing the food was. I can see why they were so excited to know we were trying something from here, probably the best sub place I’ve ever found! 💚”
