Very friendly service, menu is limited to basic American food - burgers, fries, and ice cream floats. However, the cook assured my wife and me that she could whip up anything we wanted if she had the ingredients. Her soup of the day was potato and it was delicious. We definitely enjoyed our lunch here, prices were very reasonable.

This place has the best breakfast in West Virginia. We came in from out of town and it was a great experience overall. Everything was delicious. They had homemade bread for the toast. Thats amazing!

My wife and I have been traveling for about a month with our motorhome. Florida, Alabama, Tennesse, South Carolina, West Virginia....Every morning we try a new diner for breakfast. This place was the best food all trip. Service, food and welcoming people. You won't be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I had been eyeing this place for a while and we finally got to try it today, and we were not disappointed! This place reopened recently (about 3 weeks ago) after getting some renovations done and the inside was super cozy and welcoming. The place was being ran by one guy taking care of all of the jobs (cooking, waiting, etc) and he did so super well while also having a very welcoming and sweet personality. On top of that, the food was delicious! I absolutely recommend going to this hidden gem!

If you want to experience a mom and pop family dinner this is where to go. Service is warm, and friendly. Very generous portions and if anything is wrong the cook is happy to receive feedback. She is lovely lady who was honest about making the hot cocoa a bit too hot. Once it cooled off you can tell it was homemade, perfectly sweet. I had the French Toast and it's made with homemade bread! My favorite part of my meal. The ambiance is very country style diner experience.

Google says it was open. Drove to the place, three open signs on the sidewalk and door. Door locked. Place looks a little sketchy as one reviewer said before. Would have liked to try their food since the reviews were good. Maybe another time.

Delicious food made to order with everything from scratch. Hostess/owner is amazing! Customer service is awesome. We found this gem while on a visit that was work-related. We have traveled all the way from Charleston, this is my mother’s second visit and my first. We will definitely come back. Absolutely love this place!

Stopped in for lunch after finding the restaurant on Google Maps..read the reviews and LAUGHED at the complainer....and went anyway! We were greeted at the door and served coffee right away.My wife had a breakfast of bacon, eggs, fried tators, and homemade bread.. I had an omelet with a bowl of white beans on the side...complete with onions on the side and a cornbread muffin. Both meals were great and we had our coffee topped off 2x without needing to ask. My wife even bought a loaf of homemade bread too!The outside is a simple red brick building and the interior is rustic...original hardwood floors and a really big room to the left and right of the door. Tables and booths are spaced apart with plenty of room.Owner Connie took good care of us and was very friendly. We will be back.

My family and I stop by every Sunday after church. My daughter loves the mint chocolate chip ice cream which comes with whipped topping and maraschino cherries. The servers are amazing always checking to see if you need anything and if everything is ok. I discovered Connie's meatloaf on September 18th. I am a meatloaf snob. I like mine and my deceased mother's and that is all. I can now add Connie's meatloaf to my list. I just love hamburger meatloaf and homemade bread; I could eat it for days. Don't see it on the menu, just ask, they will make it for you if they can! Who does that anywhere? Nobody, but they do it there! With only 2 or 3 people working. Dad gets beans, cornbread, coleslaw, and coleslaw. Daughter macaroni and cheese. Connie makes a bacon cheeseburger that fills me up with no sides! antique building but food is AMAZING! You can buy her bread and hot rolls to take home and WV favorite pepperoni rolls -my mouth is watering just thinking about it so gonna stop.
