I had the platter with brisket, pork belly burnt ends, turkey, Mexican street corn, and baked beans. The brisket was good overall but could have used more smoke. The burnt ends were frankly a disappointment with being more crunchy than typical burnt ends. The beans were good with the burnt ends in the beans being a nice highlight of the meal. The Mexican Street Corn seemed to lack a little something but wasn't bad. The turkey was PHENOMENAL! It isn't on their menu, but a turkey sandwich from them would be a home run.
Overall, it is worth stopping by if you're in the area, but I wouldn't drive just to seek it out.

AWARD winning bbq. I live in VA if I am in WV, I come here to get bbq to take come. You cant get THEIR seasoning in BBQ. Sometimes the best flavors are found in a mom and pop restaurant in a small town. I am telling the world.. its worth the drive and worth the stock up.. YES. I had a cooler and bought a pound of all in stock meat and their home made bbq sauces... Someday, if your in WV, take a road trip there.. your mouth wont regret it!!

We always love the food at South Texas Barbeque. Unfortunately, just about every other time we go there, they are out of one or two meats that we like. Customer Service could improve. Once we had to ask for ketchup three times before getting it. We will continue to eat there. Just think they need to be a little more customer focused.

I ordered BBG nachos with the brisket meat. NO CHEESE.. it came with cheese so I had to take it back. Guy said, ( are you sure you said no cheese?) Of course he looked and it showed in plain day that I said NO CHEESE...
Guess they don't believe their customers without proof. Ontop of this, the high chair was very nasty with dried,caked on food on it.
So I had to watch the rest of my party eat their hot food. Then I get mine a 2md time, with NO CHEESE..... the nachos were very hard and dark, from being overdone, the meat was cold and now 5 to 6 hours later--- my husband and I are both sick.....:(
Diffently not worth it.
Sticky tables, nasty- crusted high chair, service wants to act like you are in the wrong on what YOU order, had to watch husband eat hot fresh food, finally get food and it's hard and cold.
Can also make you sick later, like it has us.

My friend and I ate so much he thought he was pregnant, he went home and took a pregnancy test and saw it was positive for smash burgers. Paternity test showed farmboy smash burger to be the dad!!
