This barbecue joint is a hidden gem. They have a wide variety of options from traditional pulled pork BBQ to smash burgers to tacos. All of which are excellent. Their Mac and cheese is 10/10 and can be ordered as a topping or as a side leaving no excuse not to try it.

Quick and friendly service. Excellent food. Recommend getting the two meat plate. I lived over a decade in South Texas and I approve!

I placed a catering order. It was neatly packaged and well priced. The communication on Facebook was great. If delivery was an option, that would have been great.

This place needs to take Texas out the name. The food is trash we have tried multiple times.

I've had lunch and dinner takeout here before a few years ago, which is very good. But when I noticed STBC started serving breakfast, I had to stop this morning!

I had The 956 and The 361 tacos. They were both very generous in size and phenomenal in flavor! The 956 definitely won out for me, but I'd absolutely get both again. Fantastic food and service. The owners and staff are very nice and it was a great visit. I'll be stopping by again on my next trip through.

Do not sleep on this new breakfast spot in town!

Sides-
Baked Beans: It was apparent at some point these were cooked and seasoned with care its a shame they were served refigerator cold and in such a meager portion as to be labelled a sams club sampler.
Mac & Cheese: Again this probably had some life in it when it was made but was so old and room tempature it had long since dried up.

Fixins-
It was unclear what this was on the menu so Ill add it here. 3 slices of canned jalapeno. 3 slices of jarred pickle chips. And the frozen 1/3 of a single layer of a single ring of white onion. Now the only thing unclear is what these fix or why they exist.

BBQ-
Burnt Ends: these were at one point seasoned and cooked with care but after it left the smoke the were stacked up somewhere til they got cold hard and dead severed to the table with not a single memory of being luke warm. These were sad because at one point they were probably melt in your mouth delicious.
Chicken: Good Seasoning chopped up cold and served that way this probably belongs on a deli salad and i would have understood, nothing about these said BBQ chicken however.

Service- Does not exist per-se the menu is on a board you grab your own cup napkin and silverware from a shelf and seat yourself pay and are asked for a 20% tip before you even sit.

Final Conclusion- The food appears to have been cooked by a skilled pit boss who poured love into it, however after if left their care it was neglected and served with complete disregard to the costumer It was a huge let down as I assume the back to back best in WV awards were handed out after seeing the food fresh. 2 stars only because at some point skill was put into the food before it was ruined, if you must try eating here id suggest maybe trying a burger with the hopes its cooked fresh and I would highly encourage skipping the sides.

I’m not a big fan of this place. The food is decent, but the pricing feels difficult to justify for the overall experience. While the prices may be competitive compared to larger cities like Washington, DC, paying nearly $50 for two lunch meals seems quite high for a small-town restaurant. Improving the value perception—whether through portion sizes, presentation, or overall dining experience—could make customers feel more satisfied with the cost.

Ribs and Mac n cheese were really good. Cowboy beans werenโ€™t what my husband expected, but still were good. In town for a visit, but would def get the ribs again.

Good food, portions are getting pretty small though sadly for the price. $30 for this amount of meat is borderline criminal in this market.
