The shop itself is overdue for a deep cleaning. There were crumbs and dust on the couch cushions, the carpet and floors looked like they hadn’t been swept in ages, and there were visible dust balls in the corners. It gave the whole place a neglected vibe.
My biggest concern is basic food safety. I watched the cashier handle money, then immediately start preparing food without washing their hands. My sandwich came with chips, and instead of pouring them out or using a scoop, the cashier reached their bare hand into the bag (the same hand that had just been touching money) and put a handful of broken chips on my plate. Standard food-safety guidelines require handwashing before handling food, ESPECIALLY after handling cash. If staff aren’t going to wear gloves, they need to wash their hands consistently.
Until there are improvements in cleanliness/food-handling practices, go somewhere else. I would recommend trying NB Cafe (which is right across the street) or Wheeling Coffee Shoppe instead.

1st time in. Ordered an iced coffee. Asked if I could get a regular coffee, iced with Carmel flavoring and espresso shot. Barista said sure. My daughter ordered a hot pumpkin flavored something. We got 2 hot coffees. When I told the barista I ordered an iced coffee, I got met with just a stare. Another customer came in, just then, and she turned to help the new customer. So I stood there for a minute. After barista rung up the new person, she came back over and took my hot coffee, and said nothing. I wasn't sure if she was remaking it or not, so I just stood at the counter. Finally the barista said my iced coffee would be a minute. After finally getting it....nothing special at all. Paid over $10 for 2 coffees, won't be going back. The atmosphere, however, is awesome. Artwork from local artists and the tin ceilings and looks like original hardwood floors. Very pretty

They are terrible here. Don’t show up here at 6:30 they won’t be open like they say. Every time my wife and I are in town here we can’t go because these people want to be 30 minutes late to work. Just say you’re open at 7. It happens to us every single visit. Ridiculous.

Went for lunch today at the moundsville location. If you haven’t been there you are really missing out. Super friendly people you feel like you are at home. I got a chefs salad and it was one of the best salads I have ever had! It’s hard to make a salad phenomenal but they did it! So fresh and delicious I am dreaming of going back! It will be very soon. Plan on trying everything on the menu! If you haven’t stopped please do yourself a favor and do! Love it!
Basic basic business practice is to charge what is advertised. They raised the prices but didn't change the menu. Been that way for several weeks. Absolutely bizarre didn't take 10 minutes to print out a new menu with the correct prices. Good staff. Cool atmosphere.
